The Penthouse Suites are located on the top floor of each of the buildings, the rest of the room categories are scattered amongst the other floors in all the other buildings, there is no regular pattern to where they are located in each of the buildings unfortunately.

Does anyone know if all the rooms have an ocean view? And, do all the rooms have a balcony?

Yes all the rooms at Pearl are Ocean View. The ground floor rooms have a patio, all the rest of the room have good sized private balconies.

So, CokeMann - I saw you said the room types are scattered around. Have you seen an actual room/layout map like the one we all know and love of RM rooms? As we haven't been to Pearl, we'd find this really useful.

And is it indeed the case that we wouldn't want to walk to Desire RM from Pearl? We would like to check out Desire RM for a possible future visit...unless of course, we absolutely love Pearl and have an awesomely great time!

Yes the DRM is closer to Cancun, It is about a 30 to 40 min walk each way between Pearl and DRM via the beach or take a taxi like most do.

When doing online express check-in 15 days prior to arrival, can you tell the floor on which the room is located? For example, we will have a master suite and need to decide between the quiet end, the "fun" jacuzzi end, or something in between. We'd prefer a balcony vs. patio (I think), particularly if we decide we'd like a view that includes the jacuzzi area. I assume master suites are all either ground floor or second floor (aren't the buildings all 3 stories with a penthouse on top?)? Anyone know which master suites have the best view of the jacuzzi if we go that route?

Room assignments within any category of rooms at all Desire properties are standard ROH (run of house) - ie: Vegas odds of getting a specific room that you request.

It certainly doesn't hurt to ask, maybe you will get lucky
