Who did you book it with? If with USA Transfers you'll get an e-mail with very good, detailed instructions. That's who we used round-trip in October. It was $60, a private shuttle van and they had excellent service!

Then you should contact them for your transfer details since you didn't book it separately ;)

We'll be there in a few weeks and booked our transport through US Transfers. Can someone tell us what's the best method of payment to them - cash or credit card? And do we tip on top of that?

If you want to pay by credit card I believe that you'll have to do so on line at their website, before the pickup date.

We always just pay cash, as to tips we usually tip the guy that greets, calls the vehicle and usually helps with our bags a couple of bucks per couple and the actual driver about $5 for a couple - if you are traveling with another couples you may want to up those amounts a bit.

We used USA transfers for our trip in November. They were great. We did our booking online and received confirmation and detail instructions within hours. Then couple of days before our trip we received a reminder email as well. We paid cash for the round trip to the driver who picked us up from the airport and $5 tip. on the way back there was no payment required, but we tipped the driver anyway.

Hi All,

Does anyone have experience with transfers from another hotel? We are staying a few days in Tulum before heading to Desire. We are wondering what the best way is from Tulum to Pearl. Suggestions are most appreciated.

Thanks!

The least inexpensive way would be to take the ADO bus(large A/C highway bus) from Tulum to Puerto Morelos (about 90 pesos per person) then take a taxi from where the ADO bus lets you off on the highway to Pearl (about 120 pesos for the taxi portion).

Or you can contact USA Transfers for a quote one way from Tulum to Pearl.

We just returned. Trip report to follow as soon as we get caught up at home :(
Took forum's advice and booked with US Transfers 1-mth prior to our departure. Couldn't be happier as they were 100% reliable. They were at airport waiting for us on arrival and at our hotel exactly as we requested for our departure. The drivers were most friendly and the vans super clean. We tipped them $5 each way.

We book through Castaways and use Lomas, which is included as part of the package. Nice vehicles. The last two trips the vehicle was a new Escalade

We book through Castaways too (numerous times) and have used Lomas. Have always been treated royally (and we are just common folk).
