Nude Newbies!!!
Okay Okay I get it now, but why did it take me so long to cum oops I mean come around to try a nude resort with my husband? I guess it’s I can chalk it up to American’s always steering us away from nudity as Europeans (my husband is German) are so open about nudity.
First off let me say that when we first looked at going it was Temptations topless optional and I was like okay I can do that. Then researching more we found it to be Desire Cabo clothing optional. Really am I ready for that. We are not into the lifestyle nor had we done any other nude resorts, clubs, groups etc…. Then I stumbled on to this forum and was like oh yeah I’m in, wait we are in.
We booked our trip for 5 days 4 nights and up till the day we left I kept reading all the posts on the forums. What really made me comfortable were the trip reports on what to expect. Especially, the last one from another couple of newbie’s.
We arrived late afternoon on July 4th. Airport, well thank goodness for all the tips here and we avoided being scammed by the timeshare guys as we were going to meet our driver. As my Husband kept going towards these guys and I was like no no go out the door our driver is out there don’t listen to them they are lying they are not our driver. We pre-arranged private transportation with Cabo Transfers online. Very smooth transaction, nice vehicles, and drivers spoke English. It was $95 round trip and they didn’t pick us up on Sunday till we wanted to be since we had a late flight on Sunday.
Check in at the resort was nice and smooth. We did the express check in on the resort site before we arrived so our wristbands and everything were already waiting. I would only recommend that maybe they offer a damp cloth to freshen up a bit with the glass of champagne. Of course once you check in with the front desk they move you over to another person, Fatiba was there that day. She was nice went over the rules and what would be open as far as restaurants and disco availability and of course the rules of the house. She tried to smoothly convince us to take their “Membership Tour” (timeshare). We declined at that time though.
Cruz took our bags on up to the room where we quickly decided to just put something on to walk down to check out the pool area and the beach area. Got a drink at the pool bar and too my surprise I quickly felt very comfortable and completely stripped down “naked”. Ladies don’t be shy if you are not perfect. I quickly saw that there was every shape size and color there and knew that it was a welcoming crowd of good fun loving people. It did help though as I was entering the water a gentlemen and I do mean gentlemen complimented me as we walked past each other by saying “you are so beautiful”. After that I was confident all weekend and did not in the least feel out of place. Big thank you to Robert! See I’m just the average NEW 40 year old woman that has had 2 kids.
Right away we were talking with other couples and enjoying our time in the pool. When the pool bar closed we headed up to the Jacuzzi area and hung around there till it was time to go get ready for the beach party.
Up to the room which by the way are set up nicely although the beds are a bit hard and next time I will request to be on a lower level as we were on the 3rd floor and entirely too many stairs to keep going up and down between the day and night changing and etc etc etc.
4th of July on the beach was great. There was about 8-10 people who dressed up in costume including us although I did not make it up to the stage to be judged as it was a bit crowded and not a lot of room. The food was okay we didn’t arrive down till about 8:30 pm so some of the meat was a little dried out and the lighting on the food was very poor so we really couldn’t see what all was offered. We also didn’t like that the tables were set up for 4 couples which that part is okay but depending on where they sat you, you could have your back to the stage. I would recommend management rethink how they set this up in the future so everyone can see the stage. Only about 5 couples decorated their balconies, pool beds, etc. We did enjoy the music and dancing on the beach was a blast. On our last day they took a survey as I think they are going to try to implement beach parties on a more regular basis. We then moved on up to the disco which at first there was only maybe 2 other couples so we were like wait did we miss something. But shortly it filled up and the dance floor got jumping.
The breakfast bar in the mornings is great with plenty of fresh fruit, juices, and you can get eggs, omelets, or French toast made to order. They only had 1 restaurant open that evening for dinner and we ordered off the menu. Food and service was overall good. We found that we went to dinner too early that evening around 7:30 pm because we were done by 8:30 -9 pm and thought the theme night would get started around 9 as it was scheduled but found that it didn’t really get started to closer to 11pm that night. It was okay though as it gave us some quite down time together at the garden bar area to just relax and get ready for the disco again after the theme party oh and of course the Jacuzzi later. The only night they had more than 1 restaurant choice was Saturday. We choose Suki so we got a taste from all the choices. We did the hibachi area and it was fun and the food quality was average.
We did reserve a pool bed from Thursday through Sunday but next time we won’t pay to reserve one as we barely used it. We were in the pool the entire time we were there. Love the swim up bar area to just hang around or play some water volleyball. Watch out for the boobie rolls or the helicopters.
We also went to the beach area there are some peddlers there that you pass to get to the water after the roped off area with the beach beds but we had no problem with them told them no thanks and they left us alone. One thing on the beach beds on Sunday we were eating lunch and saw that they were putting up drapes around the beds. I would have liked to see this on a daily basis as the sun was really beating down on the beds and you really couldn’t utilize them other than to hold your towels or belongings while in the water. Yes you can go in the water but be careful.
On Friday we did do the membership tour (timeshare pitch) but only because Thursday afternoon Fatiba offered spa credit if we did and I had already planned on getting a massage so I said what the heck why not save a little money it’s only an hour right. Not, 2 ½ hours and it was the same old timeshare speal. Well I can reduce the price if you promise not to come back this year. Sorry don’t think that is gonna happen. Timeshares not for us ….
Cesar and David do a great job getting the guests involved in all the activities throughout the day and evening. He was even able to embarrass me with my own special birthday cake. We had a great crowd there all weekend long and met a lot of good people. Yes we were asked but we politely said no we don’t and guess what we weren’t treated any different and they still hung out with us throughout the weekend. So for those of you that are thinking well if we don’t will we stand out. No you will not you will have as little fun as you want or a lot of fun. It just depends on you and your loved one. I will say this please make sure you both talk to each other about the boundaries or expectations if any with each other before you arrive. We did witness some couples jealousy over a one of them being more flirtatious then the other expected, and I don’t mean with eachother. So please be open with your partner as to what can or should be done.
I did get that massage a hot stone one. It was great relaxed me for the rest of the weekend.
Oh and props to Jesus in the Lobby for he was able to get a nice rose floral arrangement that my husband went searching for after the gift shop was closed on our first evening .
If you are flying out after check in like us 6pm you can check out of your room leave your bags with Cruz and still use the facilities at the resort which we did. If you need to shower or anything like that you can use the spa facilities. Had a late lunch and just relaxed.
We made 2 trips to Mega store during our stay, watch out there are time share and trip recruiters there too. We went into downtown San Jose 1 day to see the art area by the Catholic Church. $6 cab fare there $5 back. Then we went to downtown Cabo on another day $35 there and $35 back. Nice mall and beautiful marina area.
We met a lot of amazing, funny, lively couples from all over the world during our trip. We can’t wait to return. Already looking at taking my husband for his birthday in October although it won’t be for the Halloween party . Cudos to everyone who knows how to live life and just be open and have fun. I hope this helps the next couple that is thinking can or should we really do this. YES YES YES!!!! That is if your secure in your relationship and not jealous of others flirting or having fun!!!!
