Scheduling a photo shoot?

We'll be taking our first trip to DRM and would like to schedule one of their professional photo shoot sessions. Reading the postings here I gather that this is usually arranged upon arrival through the concierge. Is this correct? Can it be scheduled in advance of arrival? We have no idea how crowded the resort will be during our stay and don't want to miss out on this service by being placed on a waiting list. Also, We'd appreciate further description as to what all a photo shoot entails; ie duration, locations, video, sexual activity, cost etc. Thanks in advance to all that reply.

We had ours done last year at DRM. There was a young woman who was working as the photographer's assistant. We booked with her. Don't think you can book in advance but when we were there, resort was at full occupancy and we did not have an issue booking a session. Did ours late morning so we didn't miss the fun later in the day. Think the shoot lasted about an hour and a half. We had some specific shots we wanted and then did others based on suggestions of the photographer. There is no charge for the session and you only pay for the photos you want. It is not cheap but for us was worth the cost. Think it ran between $600 and $700 US$ for about 110 photos. Just be sure to allow a day or two after to process. Also got a discount for paying in cash. Have seen that they also do videos but not sure of cost.

To add to what was already provided...

We were at DRM, and ours was a last minute decision. They had to scramble a bit, but they were able to schedule us. Our recommendation would be to do it early in your visit for two reasons: (1) you can verify you get the pictures you want and the format of the book if you choose to buy a book; (2) it allowed L to open up and be more comfortable with herself. If she had done it earlier, she would have been more comfortable with herself and the resort sooner. (It was our first time at Desire.)

They will shoot however, whatever, and wherever you want. If you want your photo shoot to include sexual activity, they will accommodate.

The cost can get high quickly, especially if you want any of the books and as the number of pictures you want increases. When we were there, they had a special where you could get a free small book if you do the membership meeting. We were told about it later in the negotiations, so I still wonder if that offer was part of the negotiation, but it happened.

Also, *try* not to party 'too' much the night before. We had our photoshoot scheduled for mid-morning and might have, um, partied a little bit the night before. Unless going for the 'Avatar' look, green doesn't look or feel sexy! LOL
