We are booked on the Greece Turkey cruise as well.

This will be our 5th Desire cruise and 18th lifestyle cruise. Having been on a number of different LS cruises with 6 charter companies, we can say that we like the Desire cruises better for a number of reasons:
1. Smaller ships (usually Azamara with 350 cabins but this one is Oceana with ~500 cabins) makes it seem more intimate than the larger ships like RC and 2300-5400 people on board
2. Easier to find people since the ship is smaller
3. Drinks are included
4. Itineraries are better (different port each day given most Desire cruises are in the Mediteranian)
5. We think the food is better
6. The nightly entertainment is the best we've seen. The team is from London and we hope to see them on future cruises.

We were on the Greek Island cruise this fall and look forward to seeing Kusadasi, Turkey again. Be sure to plan on spending time seeing Ephesus ruins.

Hi,

For those with more experience, I am wondering if the Concierge rooms on deck 9 is worth the upgrade?

oof--tough question. For us it is. And, in particular since this ship is a little larger than the Azamara one we were on in Rio, we will likely value the upgrades and special handling that comes with concierge.

So I think that "worth" it depends on how much you value that stuff and the other goodies like free laundry, free champagne, etc.

We also really like being higher up on the ship where it's easier to get to the pool and the things to do. So that comes into play too.

If all you want is a place to get ready and to crash (and to...er..."have friends over for a bit") then maybe it's not for you. If you want some of the other perks, maybe it is.
