We are booked. Interesting to see how it compares to the resort experience

Like everyone else on here we just booked this cruise. We are hoping for some pre-boarding meet and greets. If not maybe we can reach out to each other for a night before dinner in Barcelona. In other words we are up for anything.

We've been on 3 Desire cruises and have 2 more booked. And just completed our 20th trip to Pearl.

Difference between Desire Resort and Desire Cruise:
- Desire sends some of the Playmakers from the resort to keep the party vibe going around the pool although we only have 1 sea day for real pool time.
- They do have a playroom set up and manned. They do a great job maintaining the playroom after each use.
- Cruises will have several workshops that you don't see at the resorts
- The evening shows on the cruise are some of the best we've seen on any LS cruise and resorts. The dance team hired from London does a great job and we hope they are on this cruise as well.
- Dining is open dining so no reservations needed unless you go to one of the specialty restaurants.
- Theme nights every night like the resort and most participate
-There is a pre-cruise Desire party in Barcelona at Oops club. Tickets are limited and may be sold out by now.

We've been on 16 LS cruises chartered by 6 different companies and we rank Desire as one of the best. Ship is 700 people so easier to see couples throughout the week.

To add to what landw2 mentioned...

We have been on 4 Desire cruises so far (always the spring or early fall times in Europe) in addition to 2-3 trips to the Pearl each year. We also have the next four spring/fall cruises booked. Here is how we see as different between the two:

- We find that the resort is more laid back. Between the excursions, things going on around the pool area, the nightly shows, etc. The cruise flies by like a whirlwind. We go to the resort to relax and settle into our normal routine while surrounded by a sexy vibe. We go on the cruises to see the world while at the same time having an exciting sexy time.
- There is more nudity at the resort. This is due to limited areas to be naked on the ship. It is not to say its vanilla by any means... As there does tend to be more PDS on the cruise.
- We find that we meet more people on the cruise due to everyone is there for the same duration instead of overlapping just a few days.
- Service is amazing on both.
- Food I give the nod to the cruise overall.
- The theme nights have greater participation on the cruise.
- Lots more people on the cruise than at the resort at any one time. It may be us but socializing seems to be more widespread on the cruise.

Both are amazing but to us are distinctly different. However, I would not want to be forced to choose one or the other.

Is anyone else having trouble registering on-line, filling out the forms and arranging excursions?

i can fill out the forms, but when I save, it blows away everything I just entered.

We're leaving this Sunday to get acclimated o the time difference, and spend some time in Bad Hamburg at Taunus Therme before we head to Barcelona and spend a few days on the beach. We're even joining a Paella cooking class where we then get to eat what we prepared and drink sangria on the rooftop overlooking the city and the Med.
