Pool Area

Postby BottomsUp » Sat Dec 03, 2011 10:53 am

I was doing a search but couldn't find the answers I was looking for.

What is the policy for "reserving" a lounger around the pool? Do I have to get up bright and early? Fee? Time limit?
The sunnier, the better!

Are there any pool floating loungers at Desire? Do we bring our own or can you purchase at the gift shop?

The countdown is on!

They are not available at the gift shop, but there are generally some left over from previous guests that you can use - or bring your own

Thanks Coke.

Looks like we can "reserve" a pool lounger by leaving our belongings on it.
I would assume there is a time limit on leaving your items unattended?
If I got up early and reserved two loungers then hubby and I
showered and went for breakfast, would this be an acceptable time?
Just like any other resort. Or are the rules at Desire more strict :?:

Yes Mrs Bottomsup,
Generally speaking you can just drop your stuff on a couple of open loungers. But- Daniel the pool concierge is still there, and he does record who has which chairs on his chart with a time. So when you go out to get the chairs be sure and see Daniel to verify first that they are open and that he records your room number on his chart. Then you won't have to worry about someone moving your stuff off the chairs and grabbing them while you are at breakfast. If Daniel has you on his chart, then yes you can be gone for up to a couple hours without losing them.
