Keep the Foam party but find a better location!!!

Heard a lot of complaints about the ruination of the Jacuzzi Lounge with the unsightly scaffolding across the bed area and the removal of the old beds to make room for the Foam Party. The remaining beds are unusable... just 3 platforms with old mattresses no longer used on the beach. Yes!!! We were there early September and that is how bad they are!!!!

The sensual, sexy atmosphere is GONE!!!!! Such a shame to ruin the atmosphere for a 1 time a week / 30 minute foam event!

Add your thoughts and brainstorming to help management correct this!

1. How about using the tennis courts or a section of them for the Foam Party? Pros: Not windy and people will discover an under-utilized area of the resort. Con: No nearby bar

2. The Beach Palaypa- also under-utilized. It is used for 30 minutes for stretching or yoga in the morning, sometimes for massages, a place for stacking wet sheets and towels when it rains, and occasional private romantic dinners. Set aside one night for foam fun. Pros: great location near lobby bar, lots of open space Cons: windy

3. Time Share Pitch Area to use during the evenings for entertainment by simply opening the sliding doors; set up the foam machine one night a week. Pros: Returns the area for GUEST USE in evening, it adjacent to the lobby and lobby bar, it is not windy, and it would be easy to adapt for foam party or evening seating. Con: need to remove upolstered chairs temporarily each evening or during foam party.

Will they continue to have the foam parties once the weather becomes cooler at night?

They could have it at the pool like they do at Pearl. Maybe not a 2pm, but later in the afternoon, say 4pm.

In my opinion I personally thought the foam party was kinda lame. And yes I agree in finding a better location if they are going to continue to have it.

We would have to agree with you twosome. We were there at the end of April for one of the first ones, it was very windy, foam blowing everywhere, people slipping and sliding, not many stayed in the foam for long. I don't think it would be greatly missed if they stopped them and yes they definitely need a better area to hold them.

We were there last week and the foam party was held in the lobby bar area around the fountains. The beds were moved back up the hot tub and the medal frame was brought down to the lobby erected and removed before the next morning. The tile was very slippery the next morning! Don't know if this a permanent change or not?

We were there last week, too, and the foam party was held outside the lobby, as part of the Mexican Day party. We actually enyojed the foam. A problem is that the area is not free of obstacles, like sofas and the fountains, that can be dangerous when hidden under the foam.

As for the beds in the jacuzzi area, they were not as inviting as they were in our previous trip, six years ago, and they seemed to have much less use this time.

I do know Original Resorts only had a 6 month contract with the company that provides the foam equipment/service to Desire RM, Pearl and Temptation resorts - I believe the contract started about mid April - I would expect the foam party to end at all the locations by about mid Oct.

I seriously doubt that they will renew the foam contract for the cool/cold and windy nights that are the usual for next upcoming 6 mo.

Yikes!! I hope it is still there when we visit in a few weeks, looking forward to checking that out, sounds like so much fun, it would be a shame to miss it.

Just info:
Yes beds are back by the hot tub but these beds have been moved up from... pool area.
So as of now at the pool they have only loungers.

Wow, seems like a lot of us were there at the same time in mid-September.
We, too, were there for the foam party on Mexican Independence Day, the one up against the glass sliding door into the lobby. I thought the foam was extremely deep, the tile was very slippery, and packed ass-to-ass with 150 naked or seminaked people in a very small area. Though I am a risk-taker (sky-diving, scuba diving, drag racing, mountain-climbing kind of fool), I sat this one out. I was just waiting for someone to slip, fall into the deep foam and knock themselves out, and then have people start falling onto them, etc. Truly, I was just waiting for mass casualty triage kind of stuff. On the fun and sexy scale 0 to 10 though, it was an 11. Maybe I've just seen too much brain matter outside the skull, but I thought that particular setting was just too dangerous.

Re: upstairs jacuzzi beds, agree with an earlier poster (or maybe is was on another thread). But it used to be you had to wait your turn to get a bed, we saw zero use on this recent trip (Petit Couteau and I were the only exceptions and only on one night) but on the other hand, it rained every night, the cushions were wet, and there were no sheets on them (and we apologize we were part of the threesome f#%&ing in the hottub - it's a pet peeve of mine to see people do this, but we got carried away by this other particular young lady It was her fault - )

The Glamour club at Cap D'Agde has a foam party every day in the warmer, busier months. The foam runs mid-day for about 5-6 hours. It is highly attended and great fun. Music plays continuously. The ground area is concrete and there are nearby showers and a pool. The area is probably about 30 feet square feet. It would be terrific if DRM or Pearl invested in this.
