Vow Renewal

Has anyone gotten married or renewed their vows at Desire?
We will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary while at Desire in 2 weeks and have made arrangements for a small ceremony at the beach but would like to hear others experiences or suggestions so I can have an idea of what to expect.

Congrats on 25 years. It's rare but yes we have seen this happen a couple of times at the beach palapa.

We held a vow renewal party on our 25th anniversary. We booked Boss Lounge in New York as our vow renewal location. It is a classy place with exclusive interior design that gives inviting ambiance to guests.

We looked into renewing our vows last summer. The cost was way too much for what we actually wanted, probably the reason we don't see too many at Desire.

We just wanted something simple on the beach with a minister to perform the vows. Since we had booked the Passion Suite, we already had a butler who could get us most anything, champagne included. The charge was something like $1,200, much for stuff we already had included with the Passion Suite. They had reduced it about $300 since a room upgrade was also included. We were somewhat disappointed not to have the actual vow renewal, but we put together a very nice afternoon party on the balcony of the Passion Suite.

Email them about the cost prior to booking since they do include the room upgrade which could save you as far as some of the cost.
