Jacuzzi Beds would a change be welcome

I posted this under the question a desire rep area but thought it should be here also to see what others think. There always seems to be an issue with the beds at Pearl being taken up and occupied for long periods of time by clothed guests. There's not many beds to begin with so why not start a clothes free Jacuzzi zone starting at say 10pm until close. If you want to use the Jacuzzi and wear a suit, you have all day and into the evening. This should open things for the more "open minded" guests that may wish to push some boundaries. What do other guests think???

The resort is clothing optional, so I don't agree with forcing the issue of nudity. To me, these are two different lifestyles. Folks who enjoy nudity may not be into the swinging lifestyle, while folks who prefer to wear bathing suits are. We can't really tell, just by looking at other guests, what they may or may not be into.

Besides, I don't see how this will solve the issue with the beds... they are in short demand, regardless of what people are or aren't wearing. I'm okay with a clothed person using a bed vs. a naked person in the tub monopolizing the bed with their possessions.

Exactly, I don't care if you have clothes on or not, if you are having sex or not, if you are eating, drinking, watching or playing bingo, as long as you are using the bed and not just hogging it with your stuff.
I don't agree that the beds should be reserved for 'playing' only, not everyone wants to, and it is everyone's holiday to enjoy as they please (without upsetting others).
Yes, I would 'like' the area to be nude only, but realise that this isn't for everyone, and we don't want to start segregating people because of their life choices now do we?

I have to agree with the above responses. While we choose to be nude, it is a clothing optional resort. Whether you chose to be nude or not we all pay the same amount and should choose how you want to enjoy your vacation. That's part of the charm of Desire.

I'll add my agreement that this is clothing *optional* and nudity should not be mandated. I personally think skimpy suits can be sexier than full nudity.

I also don't think it matters who is using the beds and whether they are clothed or not nor what they are doing. The only thing I can think of that *might* be useful is to have some sort of time limit. Maybe a limit of one hour when all the beds are full or something along those lines? Whether you play or eat crackers during that hour is entirely up to you though.

No more "rules" please! Time limit? Timer on the bed post or oven timer on each table?? That's the last thing I want to think about if I'm in the middle of some passionate PDA! How much time do I have to finish? Why not add a couple more beds? I know there is room at the Pearl Jacuzzi for at least two more beds. And let's not forget to share. There is plenty of room on each bed for two couples. Just ask. We aren't against sharing our bed.

With 4 beds and 1 lounge (I think) I don't think it's out of line to try to keep the beds and lounges for activities that are "bed and lounge oriented"... Of course adding more lounges and beds would improve the situation. DRM has a great set-up

In my opinion, on the issue of wearing clothes. If I did not want to go nude, I would go to other resorts that are nicer and cost less money. Maybe the beach could be clothing optional and the jucuzzi and pool be nude only. But you can't please everyone.

As advertised on their website, it's a clothing 'optional' resort...not a nudist resort. Just saying.

And as I've said in another post...the beds should be for whatever the paying guest wants to use them for...playing, eating, drinking, chatting, etc. However, it's my opinion that out of common courtesy people should refrain from using them to store towels and belongings..that's what the cubbies are for.

Guess my post did bring up some lively discussion. My point was would it make it better? Being in the jacuzzi with clothes on was not and never was the point I was trying to bring up. It just seems rather strange to me to go to the Jacuzzi area late evening and take up a bed with clothes on when you know the real purpose of the beds. Just saying and we all know why the beds are there. Going there to check it out again no issue. Jumping in with suits again no issue. If you wanted to lay in a bed and rest there are lots of beds ocean side. Thought maybe a sign would help the unknowing and unaware. Like driving slow in the fast lane. Most know not to do it but there's always one that will say it's my right to the lane too. It's not wrong but it sure does piss some people off.

Same goes for the play room. I wouldn't think of going in there just too watch and sit there and risk making someone feel uncomfortable. What if the playroom had 3-4 couples just sitting in there fully clothed and just wanted to watch every couple that came in. Sure some couples may get off on that but the majority probably not. I think the play room is understood that it's for "play" and can't see any reason why you can't say jacuzzi beds after a certain time at night are also reserved for "play".

The difference between the playroom and the jacuzzi is that the the jacuzzi area is a bar area, and the only outdoor one after 5pm. Bar areas are social areas, for drinking, chatting, flirting, "playing" is an optional extra. And not everyone can tolerate the heat of that water! What are the non-hot tubbers, non-players supposed to do? Stand by the beds, drink in hand...that wouldn't look odd would it?

The way I look at it...if my guy and I want to lay on the beds fully clothed and watch a little of whats going on..that should be up to us. But just to be clear...I HIGHLY doubt we will be 'just looking' lol. Just saying.

Only 4 beds only on the jacuzzi !? There is space for at least two more there...in DLC I think it where 6 or 7 and was a perfect number

there have been 3 per side for our 3 trips to desire pearl

As for the Nudity comments, optional but often more fun
