Yes, I learned long ago not to pay attention to forecasts for the tropics. Yes there might be a call for rain, but that could be a 5 minute shower, so no biggie. And, a rainy day in paradise beats any day at the office, in my book.
That being said, we were there first week of June, and we didn't see the sun once... okay maybe once, for one afternoon out of 8. Yeah, it sorta sucked big time. It was so rainy and windy that we couldn't even sit on our balcony or we'd get soaked, and we'd be drenched by the time we got to a restaurant. The resort didn't have a whole lot going on for rainy days - some board games thrown around the tables in the lobby area. If they DID have other things planned, they didn't publicize it much.
Some suggestions would be.... bartending classes, spanish lessons, salsa dancing lessons, sexy bingo, sexy charades.... any number of things they could have gotten going. We made the best of it - were out on the beach anytime rain wasn't falling. But, it definitely put a damper on things.
