Please forgive the repetitiveness of this post from this newbie (soon to be new no more). I have tried searching and have found maps and room category listings but still not the specific info we are looking for. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated. I have already set a reminder in my smart phone to do our express check-in online the morning of Jan 28 - 15 days before our arrival.
My wife and I are interested in getting a ground floor room - I have a bit of a tricky knee so a few steps are OK but the less steps the better. We are not too picky when it comes to buildings although by looking at the map the building right in the middle of the pool looks like it would be nicest then working our way around more to the quiet end of the pool but again not too picky. I have seen the odd number here and there in other posts mentioning which category it is in (I think #31 or #32 would be our first choice). Cokemann has said many times that there is no rhyme nor reason to the room layouts per building (eg the building with rooms #31-#43 has 8 Ocean Views, 4 Junior Suites, and 1 Penthouse and apart from knowing the Penthouse is on the top floor no one seems to know which are on the ground or second floor etc.). Is this something I could get from the resort itself with a phone call to then post for everyone's knowledge? Are all ground floor rooms in the Ocean View category?
I think it would be to everyone's benefit since we can do the advance check-in and make special requests for particular rooms, even though there are no guarantees, that a more definitive map with room locations could be made. I'll volunteer to be the one to do it (or at least try to get the info when we are there in February from the resort - after all we are not talking the MGM Grand in Las Vegas here with 5,000 rooms). I will take Cokemann's room number category listing with us and see if the resort will add the last bit of info to it as to which floors which rooms are on and so forth.
For now if anyone knows ground floor room numbers that they have had in the past it would be appreciated so we can make a request and hopefully get lucky.
Cheers,
Jason & Donna

P.S. One last thing. I have read that you are free to engage in sexual stuff on your own balcony. Does the same hold true on your patio if you are in a ground floor room? I know that such behavior is not allowed around the pool but it is OK only a few steps away in case the mood should take us right where we are.....
