I am sensitive to water issues and I have trouble with water everywhere (even going from Toronto to Florida!). Surprisingly, I had no problems at Desire and I too drink a lot of water - learned that lesson the hard way
Taking the empty bottle from your room is a good idea. It is less likely to get spilled or get sand in it when in the bottle. Have them fill it at the bar for you.

Also, when we were there last May ('08) there was Grey Goose available at all the bars for no additional charge...not sure if that has changed recently but it was great last year.

We discovered this one when we were at Desire in Cabo 2 years ago. One of the cast members suggested it, but we never got a name, so we just named it a "beso rossa" or pink kiss (sounds better in spanish!) It's cranberry juice, some sprite (or yoli if that's all they have), and a lime. Very refreshing! We get them all the time when we need a break from the alcohol. If someone knows the actual name of it, let us know, or start using ours!

I think the reference to "liquid viagra" is Damiana. It's been around for a number of years, the bottle is shaped like a round, chubby woman.

Probably all myth about it's aphrodisiacal properties but the reaction from the bartenders is fun when you ask for it.

In the Dominican Republic, their version of "liquid viagra" is Mamajuana.

The drink you mentioned has another name that I've heard:

Sprite, cranberry juice and rum or vodka = PINK PUSSY

A little more provacative to ask the bartender for a Pink Pussy

When we were there, they called that drink a "WET PUSSY." A bunch of us were drinking that in the hot tub just before things started to get really wild.

We have a local Bar that makes "Wet Pussy's" Its always fun to ask a bartender for "Two WET PUSSY'S.

I love Carlos. Last year he made me my own "frappucinos" every day after I told him what I wanted! I'll have to see if it's on the menu this year like he promised! And they were better than the originals. Even have pics of him handing it to me & me kissing his cheek for it!

I'll definitely have to try the Pink Pussy, I'm not much of a drinker normally, so finding drinks for me is a challenge. I tried the Banana Monkey the first year (missing Hedo's version) and it was just too sweet or something. I'm only good for a couple of Mudslides, as well before it gets too sweet for me. And you can only drink so much cranberry & vodka before you start puckering!

We also got the beach bar making my SO a version of the Landshark/Margaritaville Lime Tequila combo. Beer, lime, with a shot of tequila in it. Best if you don't use their little glasses for that one!

Espresso martini...delicious... and with the espresso it gives energy! Although, we did notice that it was made differently at every bar--some were much better than others.

Hi Sharon/David, I called my husband to see if he knew all the ingredients...he didn't, but I can tell you it is vodka and espresso and something a little sweet. The outside bar where we all gathered in the evenings and the disco is where they made it the best. It gave us the energy to dance and stay up for hours. We ordered one at dinner that we couldn't finish. I think they just mixed coffee and vodka...yuck. If you try it, let me know what you think.

...no one has mentioned a body shot! It has to be on the top of most lists. Beyond that, an Irish Car Bomb will help lubricate the evening. Bailey's+Jameson's as a shot, dropped into a Guiness. Not exactly tropical, but potent! The White Sands sounds interesting.

Helens favorite is pretty much anything with Vodka, but she really likes what we call the cranrassbery Martini, 2 parts vodka, 1 part sweet and sour 3 part cranrasberry a splash of Chambura. But at Desire it is usally an electric lemonaide, unles i make a store run for the Cranrasberry. Oh dont forget Beer. I like beers.

tahoeroby, Since you didn't mention a brand, all I can think of is a white can with "BEER" printed in black, kind of like the Dharma Initiative beer in "Lost," but this would have a Desire logo instead.

Brand you mean to tell me there are differnt kinds of beer in the world????Wow!!! I need to get out more often, or perhaps instead of opening pouring and smashing the can on my head read the label.... Ok ok just kidding. Like to start with Coors but honestly after the first 4 or 5 it doesnt matter which Brand. By 30 it doesnt even have to be beer anymore.
