We just returned from another great week at Desire RM. If you were there during any of these days, we were the couple that had the pool chairs right in front of the pool steps, every day. I was up well before sunrise every day to get my wife's favorite spot... what we do for them huh ;-)
I'm just going to touch on the changes since our last visit in March or from recent reviews where things are different.
-The beach: The beach is even more eroded. CiCi's bar is closed and close to being gone. She now serves drinks at the Gazebo. All the beds north of her old bar are gone as well. The entire bed structure and swinging beds are gone and there are new stand alone beds that are up behind the sea wall on the same level and directly in front of the first floor rooms. There are still some beds south of the old bar, mostly for passion/jacuzzi suites.
-Late night pizza: Pizza is back at the lobby bar.
-Restaurants: 2 nights while we were there, the buffet was served outside at the lunch location and the main bldg was closed. Not sure if this is normal every week.
-Bldg 16: Construction is ongoing but not too intrusive. We stayed in bldg 15 with no issues but we are early risers. Banging started about 8am each morning.
-Lunch area: There are now more sliding glass partitions to close it off if needed and a railing with fake greenery to help separate the eating area from the bar area.
-Lobby: They are building an add-on to the north end of the Lobby bldg next to the women's restroom. One bartender said this was going to be the new DJ booth for the lobby area.
-Staff: JJ is a great and funny addition to the Playmaker Staff as well as Robert and David.
That's about it. Everything else is just as good as ever including the staff, pool, and jacuzzi. Thanks to the November Yahoo group, we met some great people:

Some others we met not from the group but great new friends are:

We also recognized several from previous trips that we really didn't get to know but it's always nice to casually speak to or see repeaters like us.
