Which Passion Suite?

We've read a few posts that said the Passion Suite was "not worth it." However, as hard working DINKs, we don't get much vacation time, so we decided to make the most of our week in Cancun by getting one anyway.

Can anyone help us decide which suite (old building or new) to request? We noticed that there is a new Passion Suite bulding. I like that the new building is close to the pool, but are the ameneties as nice (or better) in the new building as the old?

Has anyone stayed in a suite they really liked or seen one that was better (view, layout, less / more private balcony, proximity to public areas etc.) than others?

when are you going? - I think building 10 is getting refurbished next month, so that could be a good one!

As for the Passion Suite - even if money is no object, I'd still go with a standard room and stay longer! We didn't spend much time in our room

IDK those passion suites make a great place to host a party,if cash was no object or 5 nights instead of 7 go with the suites

i agree..passion suite waste of money. Take the extra day.

We were upgraded to a passion suite our last trip and admittedly it was a very nice room. We don't spend much time in the room except for some sleep and other stuff so we were not really able to fully appreciate it. The only time we used the in room jacuzzi was to dump the ice bucket.
