Best time of day to arrive??

This is our first visit to Desire and first time at a clothing optional place. We are booked for January 2012 starting on a Tuesday. Our flight will arrive in the late afternoon. As it will be later, should we fly in earlier (a day before) and get a hotel somewhere else for the night so we can arrive during day so we can get the best experience and reception?

we like to arrive just before lunch..like 11. gives u time to settle in have lunch and grab a drink.

We did that when we where there this past May. It does allow you to get over to Desire earlier on your first day so that you can get almost a full day from the start. I will say though that once our flight landed on that day before, it was kind of a let down that we weren't heading over to Desire - so close, yet a night away. So we are just getting a earlier flight for our next trip.

If you decide to go the day before, you might want to stay at the Marriott Courtyard near the airport. They have a complimentary shuttle to/from the airport and that worked out well for us.

It sounds as if you haven't booked your flight yet. Are there options to arrive earlier in the day or late morning? If so, I would definitely do that. We like to take one of the earliest flights we can find...we are leaving this saturday and our flight leaves boston at 5:25 and we will get to cancun at 11...this does a few things: our flight is less likely to be delayed since it is one of the first ones, customs is less busy the earlier you get there especially on a saturday and YES, once we land in cancun we can't get to Desire fast enough lol....and it is very cool to be able to get in as full a day as possible the first day but if you have to come in later, i would seriously think about staying somewhere else the first night and heading over to desire late morning have a blast!

Since we are from Canada as well, we seems to always arrive later in the day and that's just the way it is and we kind of like it that.

That way, we can unpack and 'settle in', then we head to the bar, wander the grounds to get our bearings and check things out, decide where we are going to eat, go for a 'nap' and then dress in our Desire clothes for the evening.

It's a long day flying from Western Canada and I agree with others, being 'so close and yet so far' would kind of take the wind out of our sails.

Easing in to your new experiences feet first is the way to go. Don't bother with a room close by, get to Desire as soon as you can.

Every time my wife and I go to Mexico we arrive as early as possible at Cancun. Last trip we arrived Saturday in late July at around 9:30 am and walked right thru both immigration and customs. A couple we met up with at Desire arrived around 1:30 pm and they had a 2-2:30 min wait to get thru both.

When we go we either stay at the courtyard by the airport in Cancun the night before of we will go to Orlando the night before,they have an early flight into Cancun,7ish,this way when u get there before 10 its like having an xtra day and we are well rested for the weeklong party.

We are booked and we are arrive at Desire January 16th. Flying in the day before and getting out there around Noonish.

Damn... My advise would of been fly to Toronto spend the night and them her the earliest flight possible.... Either way you'll have a blast.
