First Time, First Day Report for a religious (LDS) couple

We joked and talked for months about going to Desire RM..... until it started to no longer become and joke and we got more and more courage to consider it.... until we started to talk about actually planning around it... until we booked our flight and then did all of the prep work to make sure we made the most of our trip. We were so glad we went. And glad for this forum along with reddit. Made things easier and made it so we didn't feel like we had any real surprises. So thank you all for contributing here.

We are both active in our church and believe our marriage is the most important thing in our lives. And so it's an interesting dynamic to go to a place where it's so welcome and encouraged to have sex with people other than your spouse. I have only written about day 1, but can come back and post about the other couple days we spent there as well. Feel free to ask any questions.

Day 1
We arrived on Saturday to Desire at around noon and started the check in process. As expected, everyone is friendly and professional and smiles a lot and makes you feel more comfortable during the check in process. Each person we interacted with asked us if we had ever been to a clothing optional resort or a lifestyle resort before. We had not been to one ever before and one of the staff members asked us directly if we were in the lifestyle or not. (We’re not) She then went through the map with us for all of the breakfast, lunch and dinner places and highlighted the quiet pool area, the “spicy pool” (aka the main pool) and the jacuzzi area and disco and playroom area that are connected, but upstairs from the main lobby area.

We had an ocean view room on the ground floor and it was awesome. Such a simple room, with a small counter in the bathroom being the only downside to it in my opinion. Tile floor. The shower was still big enough for both of us to be in there together and the king size bed and padded headboard were really comfortable. AC control was dialed in how we wanted it. Very happy with the room and probably wouldn’t pay more to upgrade to the new Eden as the view was so appreciated.

We grabbed some lunch at the Eros restaurant it was a lovely way to just take in the place. Changed and went to the pool afterwards. All of the chairs and cabanas are basically spoken for at that point, but the man in charge can give you one that is back by the grill. We just got in the pool area and within 2-3 minutes we had a very cute girl near our age strike up conversation in the most mild, yet flirty way. You could tell she was really smooth with connecting with people. My wife is a super fit, in shape, beautiful face, hair and personality. So she is going to be attractive to everyone, and hit it if off with anyone. These two became friends pretty quickly. We met her husband. We got to hear about their progression of coming to the resort for the past 7-8 years a couple times a year. Day 2 - Wife here - Day 2. I will just take a moment here to be little more of a realist. In the last post my husband paints quite a picture of my physique. I wasn’t turned on by the idea of one of these other men caressing or ravaging my wife like I was. I wanted to keep that connection and claim and reclaim it again and again. Maybe this is human nature, but I found it so enlightening to have this fantasy that I always thought would be the hottest thing to live out, become something that was truly just better in my imagination than real life.... However I’m pretty sure my wife would still really enjoy it If it ever did become a reality.

This sounds entirely familiar. The fantasy is always perfect situation, and a faceless person. Once it becomes possibly real, things feel differently. Not to everyone - but apparently to us. Re-creating the perfect situation in reality is difficult if not impossible.
