Walk To Puerto Morales

How long of a walk is it to the shops and restaurants at Puerto Morales from DRM? What’s the best route? What are the best shops for souvenirs, snacks and toiletry odds & ends? Any good restaurant recommendations from vets? Thx!

Some years ago, we attempted to walk along the beach to Pearl from DRM. We got about 3/4 of the way but was stopped because of a Breakwater and it was unpassable. That was 2015, the beach was wider than so I would imagine now it’s even more impossible

Are there reliable ride share services there? And I was asking about the DRM resort. Is that walk less precarious?

According to Google Earth if you draw a path along the beach from the southern most edge of the DRM property to the center of Puerto Morales it would be a 4 1/4 mile walk with some difficult obstructions along the way.

Uber does operate, but mostly just in the immediate Cancun region. For DRM vacationers the only realistic option is a taxi service.
