Three night trip - June 2026

This was our 13th or 14th trip to DRM but our first time in June so this might have a role on what I am about to share.

We arrived on Thursday, June 11th for 3 nights (Always not long enough but better than nothing). We got a free upgrade from the old Garden View room that we love to a room in Eden. The room was nice although the balcony was facing the north lot so not the best view. But we loved the shower and the big mirrors The bed was great too!

As usual, the staff was awesome, always willing to pamper us. The food was good, specially Khalo; last year we were not impressed but this time their food was awesome! Sukhi never disappoints!

Here it goes with the "But..." and I hope I don't offend anybody here...First, again too many people wearing swimsuits in the hot tub; the first afternoon there were just a few naked women and probably 3 or 4 guys...everyone else wearing something. Yeah, I know DRM is clothing optional but we all know this is not the old Desire, so it looks like there is no way back. Still a bit unconformable.

Another unconformable experience: there was a big group of loud people who started drinking maybe at breakfast so by the time people moved to the hot tub, these guys did not care about having some kind of respect. They were yelling and laughing so loud that made some of us run away. On Sunday this group decided to move their show to the beach and the few couples who were there relaxing after lunch were not happy with the loud music, loud yelling and even some unconformable comments about those who wanted to just relax. We had not seen this type of behaviour before so maybe the time of the year has something to do????

And last negative topic: before, it was not easy to walk from Breathless to DRM but they fixed the beach and everybody can go from one side to the other without any effort. So a few couples walked to the DRM side, got naked and went into the water. We were completely fine with that because if we are all naked, let's have fun. But now it is very frequent after 2 or 3 PM to see groups of people, most of them young guys, gathering in the water to see boobies and butts and slowly moving to the DRM side to have a front view of whatever happens in the beach beds. Security already knows that and they were always there to make sure these guys do not try anything else because in the past, some guys tried to go inside. This was a bit intimidating because one thing is to have sex there surrounded by other Desire guests and a very different thing is to give a free porno show to some young kids who might be your children's age!!!

Desire is always great but definitely the noisy crowd, the unwanted swimsuits, and the intruders did not help...

But we had some sex there

We stayed there this weekend and shared some of the same impressions you mentioned, and I agree with you.

The swimsuit policy is becoming the norm now, although the older pool still keeps its original atmosphere.

This time, we were a bit disappointed with the Playmakers. The young ladies did their best, but we felt there was a lack of energy and excitement.

On the positive side, the spa continues to be extraordinary. We had a session with Carlos and Teresa, and as always, we thoroughly enjoyed that experience.

The playroom was also very quiet for our taste.

We noticed the loud group as well. They made it very difficult to have a conversation at times, although I guess that’s just a matter of luck depending on who happens to be there during your stay.

This is not a good trend. We LOVE the old Desire and will miss it if it changes. We've gravitated toward Pearl for a number of years and I believe it is still maintaining the vibe of old. I'm frightened by the effort to move Temptation people into the Desire properties. Witness the special they're advertising: do 2 nights at Temptation, 2 at DRM and 2 at DP!!! WTF??? We'll be witnessing the current status in September and are keeping our fingers (legs and toes) crossed

That’s why I think I like Pearl better than RM. more of the old school
Vibe. In terms of people being clothed at RM ruining the vibe, look at this as a way for them to dip their toes in - albeit at our expense. As I’ve said in an earlier post, it didn’t really bother me. I actually found it quite liberating being nice when they were clothed. Perhaps it’s the exhibitionist in me. But I remember walking by a clothed couple at RM and I knew the guy was envious when I walked by. I also remember playing with my wife on the beach bed and there were two clothed couples in the water watching us have fun. I think you just got to do you and don’t worry about them. Now if they make comments to you or give you dirty judgmental looks, that’s a different story. But I hadn’t personally felt or experienced that.

I appreciate your feedback and agree with the way you take things; however, out of the 3 concerns I highlighted in my report, the biggest concern is those moving from other hotels to the beach right in front of the beach beds; when your audience is a bunch of young guys in their early 20's watching at your wife walking naked to get in the water at a very short distance, that might not be comfortable for the DRM guests.. And do not even talk about having sex on the beach beds in front of them

Definitely it changes the vibe... Most of our trips end with as nice sex session in those beds but that was not the case this time.

I completely agree! Hard to type on a phone and missed that point. My wife definitely would have stage freight - and perhaps me as well. Look, beach bed are great for lounging in the beach, listening to the waves crash to shore - and having sex of course !!! LOL. Don’t these twenty something’s know this is a buzz kill. LOL. Ah, what it must be like to be 21 again. If we knew then what we know now …

As far as the line of young guys watching the beach beds.That is a new one on us. I am pretty certain that Nina would be encouraging them to jerk off while she gave them a vibrator show. I'm probably the odd man out here but I think we would find that a turn on to have them watch.

We have never seen or heard negative comments at Pearl in regards to being naked or PDA, and we go all the time. Pearl, in general, has the same vibe that it always has, for our 8 years of going. 80% are naked at the pool and almost all are naked in the hot tub. We stay two weekends so get a good mix during our stays. We have not gone back to RM since they built the Eden. I am wondering if Temptation is on the out and they need guests to move to RM or Pearl?

Thankfully it was only once and hopefully a fluke. Last time there was a couple that normally goes to Temptation that was trying to make it clear to Nina that women should have bathing suits on. As far as DRM, we have encountered it at least once or twice per visit since 2023. Par for the course and we just grin and bear it.

My suspicion is that it may be the other way around. Original may see Temptation as the more profitable model and are transitioning Desire into that same model. I would have agreed with you about the vibe at Pearl being like the old Desire vibe; if it wasn't for our past December trip. Many suits in the hot tub and no PDA. We hav also started seeing many couples that have booked Desire with no knowledge that it is an adult oriented resort. Our favorite is a couple of Christian missionaries that we met by the little hot tub at Pearl. I had to bite my tongue and not start jumping up and down saying that missionary is our favorite psoition too when they told us that they were missionairies. Honestly most of the ocuples we met that didn't realize that Desire is adult oriented have taken it in stride and had a good sense of humor about it, save for maybe that one person that complained to the bartender when Nina was going down on me onthe beds at the quiet pool at DRM.

I’m going to call CAP on these couples. One of the partners at least KNOWS what Desire is about but I’m going to say they BOTH knew and are just saying they didn’t realize because they’re too embarrassed to admit it. It’s their first time and they probably feel like it’s wrong and trying to convince themselves otherwise. I get it. It’s mind games in a sense from how we fee up as children. I’m one of them. I was told when I was a kid that I’d be celebite if I pleasured myself. That stuff sticks with you. And people still have this idea of what swingers are - which is complete not in line with reality - thinking it’s a wild Roman sex orgy. Don’t get me wrong, sounds like fun, LOL , but that’s not what it is. We live in a world where there is too much judgement and stain of ignominy for creating the best marriage possible. For the missionary couple, I prefer all fours! I’ve met many LDS in my lifetime who later went off the path and they said the same thing about how they were interested and created excuses at first but then just got use to it and accepted it and made it a part of their life because it was importtant to them as a person and couple.
