Pictures at the beach

Hello all,

First of all, congratulations for this forum! It's great to read all you, Ladies and Gents, have provided, specially for people like us who will go to Desire for the first time.

As I said in another topic, last year I went with my family to Azul Beach. When we knew about the "nude beach" beside, we went for some walks because being nude with my wife in a beach was one of my desires In one of those walks, we were carrying our camera and my wife agreed to let me take pictures of her but I was 100% sure it wouldn't be possible if there were other naked people around. I suggested to go a bit south where there is an empty lot so we could be alone and could take the pictures without problems. However, my wife didn't feel safe at all being naked in "the middle of nowhere"... We tried to take pictures closer to the Desire beach but a security guy came right away and asked us to leave

Now the question: Has anybody have any problems going naked out of the Desire beach? What would you recommend if we wanted to take some pictures?

We have seen people taking posed pictures on the beach. They did their photo shoot later in the day. There were actually two ladies posing together. They took care to make sure all the pictures were taken with the Caribbean Ocean in the background so no guests or resort structures could be seen. They were snapping away for over an hour and nobody seemed to mind. As long as you're careful to respect other guest’s privacy I don't think taking photos of your spouse will be an issue. Just choose a time of day either early in the morning or later in the afternoon when the beach traffic is low and make sure nobody will be seen in the background.

If you are at Desire, not taking pictures of your wife would be the worst mistake.
it is like forgetting the anniversary date.

We usually take tonnes of pictures when at Desire.
As long as you dont take pictures of other people without their permission.

Almost always a security guy was near us during our photoshoots. I guess they were trying to make the point that they take guests privacy seriously.
Few times they asked us to make sure no other guests get in the picture. Fair enough.

Just a recommendation:
Go for photoshoot just before dinner. Most of people go their rooms to change.
The sun is about to go down at that time, so you have very nice light.

picture taking really seemed to depend on who was around. Regular tourists passing through RM on the beach were told by Security and the bar staff on no uncertain terms to put the cameras away. Guests were given slightly more leeway, however, if your using a phone or tablet near the pool, be very careful. I know there are signs prohibiting ipads, iphones, camera phones and camera tablets near the pool and jacuzzi, but I was trying to also carry on a business dealing while at the pool, someone thought I was taking pics and one fo the entertainment folks came by to talk to me. I showed them what I was doing, and they were cool with it, but just a warning to be very careful and respectful.
