Book Trip Desire Website or other sites

We are wanting book trip to Desire Pearl in Feb. Should we book off their website or do others have good on-line sites or travel agencies to book with? Tips would be appreaciated !!

All the Desire locations are "rate controlled" - what that means is that no discounting is allowed by any TA, or Web booking service.

You will pay the same for hotel only accommodation regardless of where you book.

However there are certain benefits in booking thru a Travel Agent that regularly books a lot of rooms at Desire.
(compared to booking directly with Desire or Web booking service)

- most have visited and been on site at the property and can answer any question you may have about the property
- most offer personalize service (in Englsih-lol) by telephone or email
- many offer free or reduced transfers (depending on your length of stay)

Some of the reputable Travel Agents that regularly book a lot of rooms at Desire are:
- CharTravel, Castaways, DennyP, Dream Pleasures Tours, Right Connections, etc

We used Dream Pleasure Tours for our upcoming June stay at Desire Pearl. I highly recommend them and we will use them for all of our future "fun" trips!

We've booked twice to Pearl with an airline - worked out to be a better price than booking hotel & flight separately, I guess they heavily discount the flight to get your booking (?). The airline also throws in transfers between airport an the property.
Of course this may not work for everyone, and it would depend on where you're flying from… But from Toronto this works for us.

Yes correct, many of the online sites(including the airlines) that bundle vacations do discount the flight portion to get your booking.

Believe it or not, Expedia works out quite well. I've booked directly through the resort and just monitored the air fares and have done okay when the fare dropped.

I am trying sites for pricing, Us Air was almost $1000 higher then Desire site and American Air shows pictures of Pearl resort, but has room descriptions of original Desire? I have time, so i am researching all!

After shopping around CheapCaribbean.com seemed to have the best deal.
