Questions from Temptation vets

My wife and I have been to Temptation twice and are looking to schedule a trip in September for this year. There are parts of Temptation we love (topless, sexy vibe, great people) and parts that are not so great (single men, a bit juvenile at times, not greatest physical property/food) so we are interested in trying Desire. First off nudity is not a problem, which I know sounds odd but half the "should I go" posts around here seem to center on that issue. Secondly we are not in the lifestyle but couldn't care less who is or isn't. Lastly we are certainly not judgmental about people of all ages and body types being out and about in various stages of undress, have at it.

You would wonder what the issue is, but by pure random chance I happened to be in Tampa for work this weekend (well and some Gasparilla), and we were at the same hotel as a group leaving for a SLS cruise the next day. And they were all much older than us, and to be frank, quite an unattractive lot. Triply so for the men. Part of the fun at Temptations is that there are some extremely good looking people there, who doesn't like eye candy? We are 35 and 32 and are very active and into our appearance so we would have been fish out of water if the people at Desire are anything like the 200 people I saw this weekend. No I'm certainly not up to be on the cover of Men's Health and the next time I go to a resort and am the best looking guy there, or in the top 10 for that matter will be the first. Might be shallow but my wife also has no interest in spending a week with people who appear (despite their great interest in sex and being nude) to not worry about their bodies at all.

Call me judgmental, that would certainly be your right and I won't argue. We are just worried there is no place for us at Desire and we would like a more grown up environment than Temptation offers, one without groups of 10 spring breaking 20 year old's gawking and hitting on any woman who walks up to the bar. I am absolutely certain we cannot be the only people who have ever been concerned about fitting in though right? /Flame suit on.......

We just came back from our first trip to Desire and really loved it. My wife and I are in the early 40's (41 and 43 to be precise) but we both look younger (Or at least that is what people say when they know about our ages ). We are both in good shape (Specially her )... We were not looking for swinging but just having fun together. OK, enough flowers... but just said that so you can see we could be in the "same boat" as you two...

Did we feel out of place at Desire? Honestly just a bit but it didn't cause any bad feelings in our short vacation. We enjoyed a lot every minute, regardless of who was around. What did I see? All kinds of ages, shapes and even behaviors... Hot ladies, not-so-hot ladies, curves here and there... all you could imagine was there (That was quite a surprise for me, I would have to accept...) Average age? Many people have said in this forum that the average age is in the 30's/40's. Well, during our time there I would say it was more in the high 40's/low 50's. One of the afternoons, we were in the hot tub with nobody else around but suddenly people started showing up. At one point, it was full (Probably 20/25 people around?) and I said to my wife "We are probably the youngest couple here... and by far"

But again, that didn't stop us from having lots of fun... It was even weird having sex in the hot tub while there were two couples around who could be my parents' school mates

I think that Temptations might just be a good fit for you!

If I had a dollar for every couple that was transferred to Desire, got there, and couldn't believe how lucky they were to have ended up in the Desire hot tub!

Desire is a place for people who get it!
Life is about new experiences, acceptance, and appreciation for like minded people having a place like Desire to go to! I know this as I have had to live with terminal cancer for my last couple of years.

My wife is one of those "beautiful people", absolutely gorgeous! But, she is more beautiful on the inside and loves all the people that have made her laugh, smile, and made her feel so welcome. Every husband, every wife, goes to this magical place for a reason! Most couples come back with a want to go back for more!!

If you are open to meeting some of the most wonderful and beautiful people literally from around the world, Desire is the place for you! If appearances are your number one priority ( by the way, we have seen and enjoyed, much eye candy in 5 trips ), perhaps Desire is not for you!

We are in our early 30s and we are constantly told we look younger, so we felt like the youngest couple on our holiday in Desire, but we still loved it and met many nice and cool couples and are looking forward to come back.
Of course we would love to see more younger couples, but Desire prices are obviously more affordable to slightly older folks...

We are not in any hurry to come back to Temptation but have already booked our holiday to Desire for Oct/Nov
Temptation wasn't bad (we actually can't understand people complaining about food and drinks) but Desire is soooooooo much better!

There seems to be a consensus that Desire Los Cabos has more of the younger crowd.

This topic hits our concerns also right on point. We are early 30s, have nearly the same issues as the first post, and we are having a difficult time getting a sense whether we will be out of place as a result. We opted to go to Pearl next month because we are hoping the atmosphere is more decadent than wild. The resort itself looks great but in all honesty we would likely have the best time with a resort that has a mix of ages that would include our own. Is this realistic or will our visit more likely be similar to the other previous post where it mentioned that they felt younger than average and "weird" in their early 40s? Is any particular season typically different than others for average ages? Does RM vs. Pearl vs. Temptation make any difference for variety of age? A common response I've seen suggests going during a group week, but that is not a solution if again you are seeking a more c/o chill experience as opposed to something over the top. Any additional posts on this topic thread and what they experienced would really be appreciated in helping us to decide whether to go or find somewhere else, at least for this trip.

As an aside to those mentioning Los Cabos, keep in mind that is not an option for those of us living on the east coast. I was quite certain we were not alone in our concerns, and appreciate the feedback received thus far. Any more opinions from vets would be appreciated greatly.

*edit* I agree with the above poster, going to group week if you are not a lifestyler or know people in said group would seem to be setting you up to be sitting around watching everyone else party like a new kid at high school.

We are 36 and 37 and headed to Desire RM for our 5th trip in 2 yrs. ...we also are both in great shape and I too had some of the same age concerns before we went a couple years ago. While we have never been to temptation it would never be an option for us. The thought of single guys lurking around is just not appealing and after seeing the rooms at Hedo we would never go there either....not that Desire is a 5 star resort but my husband is pretty particular about his accommodations and also the service we receive . Desire is an unbelievable place that just changes your views on what a vacation can be. The staff, the atmosphere and most importanatly the guests are the best and you will not regret choosing to vacation here. There will be people there your age and also a wide variety of ages ....we are going to visit pearl while at RM this time but while I hear how great it is it's hard to think about going anywhere but RM once you have been. 20 days and counting

Maybe we should create a group for "youngsters" and try to coordinate our visits so there is no takeover as such but plenty of couples around same age

We've been to a club and engaged in some fun with friends and none of them have been what we would pick out of a book as "our type" but they were/are full of fun and sexual energy which makes you forget about little hang ups. I'd rather have a blast with a 7 then stare at a 10.

I understand these concerns, as its great making friends of any age and whatnot, but to go beyond friendship and into the sensual/sexual realm, there has to be some level of physical attraction. Typically we like those most like ourselves. When deciding on this trip, I knew that a higher priced vacation meant in most cases the fellow guests were probably at an age of comfortably financially able. I am 28 (he's 40-something) and I am surprising him with this trip. He prefers women in my age range, as do I, but as much as I'd love to have another bisexual experience with a 25-35 yr old with a similar body type as my own (I'm fit and eat "weird nature foods" as he calls it), the draw of this resort is that the trip is an experience as a whole due to the location, theme nights, what I hear about the staff being awesome, and the opportunity to turn off the cell phones and truly relax without life's pressures and stressors which allows him and I to rekindle the romance that gets sidetracked sometimes. Oh yeah, and I love having public sex and PDA, which good sport he is to indulge me and my penchant for being "comfortable " aka nude! So while he's a little put off by nudity of those who could be our parentals, when it comes down to my fantasies being indulged, we don't care how old the voyeurs may be. We just have fun and make memories!

Join us May 31-June 6! If youngins keep feeling afraid to go, then people cant say they see many youngins there, so all in the name of encouraging future young folk to come, right?

We are going to pearl in June for our first trip. We are both 28 yr olds and have pretty much the same concern we understand that we will be on the young side of the scale and that's fine it's the reports you here from 40 yr olds saying tha they were in the hot tub with 25+ couples and they were the youngest couple there that scares us. We're are going in June I don't know wether that would make a difference as far as age goes. We decided to just go and see when we're there since there is really no guarantee for who's gonna be there. Desire over temptations for us either way because we would rather be the youngest people there with a bunch of older people than have a bunch of drunk single guys acting like 13 year olds in a porn shop around my wife. Who does look like she belongs in a magazine btw!!!
