The Beach

Heading down June 22nd for our first trip to a clothing optional resort ever! We've read that the beach at pearl is very rocky when you go into the ocean , was wondering if it's the same way at rm. we are excited to swim in the ocean in the buff so we may head down to rm for an afternoon if the beach is nicer for swimming also is the beach at rm more private ( less public traffic ) than pearl.

Pearl beach rocky - not the beach but slightly rocky in the water until you get out a little further - you can always get in off of the Pearl dock rather than via beachside.....

Agree with previous poster - we are scuba divers and brought out snorkel gear, its rocky walking into the ocean from the shore, we used our flippers so that helped. not much to see snorkling but we also dove at the reef and enjoyed it! we ended up spending most of our time at the pool though, as that's where the most privacy was

I was wondering if the whole length of the beach going into the water has rocks? Is there a spot that's clear so you can just wade in or should we be bringing water shoes? (hate those)...

We didn't find the beach too bad. There are rocks here and there, but it is mostly sand. We went barefoot without a problem. You just need to watch your step.

I agree with CokeMann who said: "you can always get in off of the Pearl dock rather than via beachside". The water around the dock is much better. It is crystal clear and you can see the bottom! Back in December we used to swim only from the pier (dock) and are going to do the same this Thursday. Yes, this Thursday, May 2nd!
