shore128 wrote:As I guy, I very much agree with the last few posters. Most of the women really get dressed up for dinner at Desire, including my own wife, and I have no problem wearing a nice shirt, slacks and shoes. It adds alot to the ambiance and sexy vibe of the place to see everyone dressed up for dinner. Particularly at such an upscale setting as the Pearl restaurant. Don't want to be having a nice dinner and see guys in shorts and t-shirts, baseball caps, etc. at dinner. That's ok for breakfast and lunch, not dinner at an upscale restaurant.

Perhaps a bit off topic, but one of the reasons we will not even consider going to Hidden Beach or some of the other nudist/naturist resorts is the lack of a dress code at dinner. The last thing we want to see at dinner are people dining in the nude or in bathrobes, which some do at Hidden Beach. We're not judgmental about the people that do it, to each his/her own, but its not for us and we can't even understand the desire to do it. Sunning and swimming in a tropical environment is another matter.

The comments above are right on! We had a group of 8 that quickly expanded by a couple each night. Guys always wore long pants to dinner and the ladies dressed very hot & sexy and then changed for the nightly theme as did myself and another guy in our group. We have also been to Hidden Beach and Grand Lido Braco in Jamaica several times and getting dressed for dinner is good, It makes for more luggage than one would expect going to a nudie place but her shoes take up more room than my long pants and you know - that is just ok with me.

Are the outfits at dinner exotic? i have alot of sexy dresses but plan on purchasing new items that I would not wear outside of a resort such as this and wonder if that is common. It's our first time anywhere like this. Any tips etc are appreciated. pm me if of an adult nature.lol

I would say for the women almost anything goes. You will see plenty of short skirts and sheer or revealing dresses at dinner.

Regardless of which restaurant, I always wear pants (usually linen because its HOT at the end if June) & a button down shirt. My wife dresses up nice & sexy so I can at least look nice for her. It also creates a nice atmosphere in the lobby before dinner & at dinner when everyone is looking their best. After dinner.... all bets are off & it party time!

Women can wear whatever they want for dinner. My wife wears something very sexy (which can't be worn at home) then changes into theme night attire after dinner. I'm convinced she does this so she can do twice the shopping every year ;)

I also agree that the Men should make an effort when dressing for dinner. To us it will be an important part of our day. After lounging all day in the pool, on the beach, in the jacuzzi I feel it is then nice to scrub up and make the effort to look smart for a nice romantic evening.
As other posters have mentioned, Pearl seems to be 'more upscale' as a resort but if the people don't make the effort then standards will slip. I REALLY DON'T want to be sitting at dinner next to someone in beachwear/bathrobes....

I agree 100% This is a time to dress up not down. If you want to wear something sexy and revelling, (women) please do so. Wear, and show what you can't wear or show anywhere else.

Ive always made an effort to dress up for dinner and dress a little classier even after dinner than i do at home. Besides, before the night is over im naked in the playroom or in the hot tub anyway. Here's a question for the ladies though.... when a man knows you aren't wearing panties he thinks it is sexy, do you feel the same about men not wearing underware, or do you think, damn it im washing those pants twice next time.

Desire week only requires two pairs of underwear for me. One pair for the plane ride to Desire, the other pair for the plane ride back home.

I was thinking about buying the hubby appropriately colored thong underwear to wear each night to dinner and with his theme attire.... :D

The men are always woefully under-dressed, even to the point of looking slobbish, or like they just don't care or can't be bothered.
Turns my wife off totally, why should the women make all the effort? I've also overheard other wives commenting / complaining about the male lack of effort.
