Day/Evening visits to Pearl

We're heading to RM this November. Looking at some of the evening themes at RM, there are a few we're not really interested in. Does anyone have an info/advice on going over to Pearl for an evening? Are cabs available? (Google says it's 12km). Is there a charge to go for the evening to go and/or eat or do our RM "fees" transfer to Pearl (since we won't be eating/drinking at RM those nights). Also is it worth it? We wouldn't have access to our room to change, freshen up, etc. Would we feel out of place? Mainly Tuesday's "Foam Night" doesn't sound all that great but Pearl is doing "Arabian" that night.

There no charge other than paying taxi fees both ways ( btw Desire has arranged a special rate - on;y $15 USD each way - normally $25 each way)

Just check with the DRM guest services manager about your visit, if there is a takeover at Pearl(which I doubt) you may not be allowed to visit during the takeover.

Has anyone done this and do they have any thoughts and/or advice? Is it worth the change of venue considering we won't have any place to go to change or relax. I'm thinking we'll feel out of place/ like visitors and maybe should stick to our own resort.

We're hoping the Foam party will be discontinued by the time we get there at the end of February but if it's not we're looking for options.

we have done this the last two time we weere there. We just went for the day did not stay for evening intertainment

We have done this as well, go in the day hang out by the pool and beach, have lunch, we would recommend it, maybe you could combine it with a quick trip to the local town square of puerto morelos.

We have just come back from a week at Desire, followed by a week at Pearl. My advice? Stay at RM for the Foam Party, it is the best night of the whole 2 weeks! In my opinion, the night life at RM is far superior (however everything else I prefer at Pearl). Go to Pearl by all means, spend the whole day, the pool, beach, ocean is so much better, but don't sacrifice the Foam Party! Image hot people dancing, slippery and wet, drinking and.... well you know..... just remember to wear shoes as it does get slippery when wet!
P.S.Arabian night was not all that (just belly dancing - yawn)

Going back and reading my post about the foam party before we went I definitely changed my tune. Foam party was awesome! One of the most fun theme nights we experienced.
