Ground Floor vs Second Floor

Ground floor near the quiet end of the pool. Just for convenience. If I could afford it, penthouse overlooking the Jacuzzi!

I like second floor. Been woken up by heels stomping from above too many times. We're at DRM right now in building 21. Love our room.

We prefer first floor so no climbing up stairs in heels! Usually stayed at the back of the resort past the spa, but lately have enjoyed oceanside when we want to splurge

Always second floor between the pool and the lobby! Nice shared patio with neighbor usually with a partial view of the ocean.

We just returned from DRM on Oct 18, 2013. We stayed in room 2002. It was perfect, quiet, never heard any heels in the morning. We stayed in a couple of nights and the band was loud but was still ok. It was nice to be close to the lobby bar so we could get our coffee in the morning. We prefer a ground floor because I don't like walking any stairs after drinking . It was really nice when we got a beach bed because we could run back to the room quickly. We'll probably request the same room when we go back!!
