top brand liquor

In regard to my last post, assuming that I have to drink more heavily, my wife and I like to drink certain brands which the hotel probably doesn't carry. Or they like to switch to a cheapo version when they think we have had enough not to notice. Last visit we got the hotel to buy a couple of bottles and put them, with a tip for the barman, behind the bar which works fine. Does anybody know if there is a local store where we can buy the bottles while in the area or on the way from the airport. Or would it be better to get them duty free on the way there??

My husband likes Bud light and Casa Martin in Puerto Morelos has a good supply of wines, beer, and crown royal. The resort is pretty good on keeping upper shelf stuff on hand.

Just to clarify -

Casa Martin

Super Casa Martin - Grocery Store/Service in Puerto Morelos. Has a "very limited selection" of liquor and beers - if you want a wider selection you will have to go into Cancun city to Walmart or La Europa to purchase them.

We bring our own 750ml of Gentlemans Jack Daniels. I can drink most anything, but having something familiar is nice.
