Cancelling Foam party!! Come ON!!!

The Foam party scheduled for Tuesday Dec 10th was cancelled as they did an extra one for the take over group from last week. However, we added an extra day on to our vacation so we could attend the foam party. All the reviews and comments made it sound like a blast.... I spent an extra $500 to make it......we are seriously disappointed with that decision....that decision coupled with several other issues where Desire performed poorly, has sadly lead us to cross Desire off our list of vacation destinations. Very disappointing, but you can't reward failures and very bad management decisions..

We were there last week, actually the reason the Tuesday foam party was cancelled was that the owners daughter had her birthday party on Saturday night and wanted a foam party. So the foam party was held on Sat Dec 7th not on Tuesday the 10th. The owners daughters birthday party was also held in Sahlo on Sat night with a large table of 25 or so taking up the middle of the restaurant. Amazingl These people were not staying at the resort ! Amazingly Suki was not open that night , so if you did not want to eat at the buffet , you were forced to wait an hour plus at Sahlo. Paying guests were put behind the birthday party group. As many time repeaters we were not happy. By the way the foam party was lots of fun on Sat but if you planned on the normal Tuesday foam party you were out of luck.

We were there as well.
We were told it was the Manager's daughter's party.

Either way, Desire didn't give a shit about guests who had paid $3000 - $5000 to be there.
They are experiencing such high occupancy despite constantly rising prices that they are taking their paying guests for granted.
This is exactly what happened to Hedo II through the years.
Repeat guests were willing to ignore it falling into decline, thus SuperClubs never spent a dime in upgrades or even maintenance.

Sad to see Desire following the same business plan.

Wow! Similar situation ar Desir LC a couple years ago when the GM had his family there for dinner. The kids were in their early teens, maybe 13 or 14 at the time, they shouldn't have even been in there! We were sitting with our group at the tapinyaki grill when we were told to wrap it up so the GM and his family could use it! Put a sour taste in our mouths for sure!

And actually, my husband just reminded me about another situation that I forgot about, where the owner, Patti, had her underage nieces and nephews over in LC and they reserved the whole jacuzzi for the day/night. No one could go up and use it! Very disappointing!

You should post all this on TripAdvisor... That way it will be last time those things happen!

We have to agree with this when Patti comes to the resort everything goes out the window. I understand that you maybe the owner, but she has about 3-6 people waiting on them and she really don't care of the people that are paying for all her luxurys so PATTY PLEASE go to another resort and not your own, it's very unprofessional from your part to allow your staff to serve you more than your own guest.

And also she treats her staff so bad and outs them down with no shame. Remember many of us return to your property's because of the wonder staff you have. I can find the concept at hidden beach hedo, Caliente. Or just clubs back home.

Dead on latino28 I know of a few staff members that have left because of her and her ways
