Do men need long pants in all restaurants?

I know this is what the website states, but is it enforced? I don't mind wearing a shirt with a collar, but last time we went I could wear decent shorts in Aphrodite and it wasn't a problem. Its not a big deal, as the better-half and I change for the theme (oh ya they recently changed too!)..

In Pearl restaurant long pants are strictly enforced. We need someone to opine on Aphrodite after the renovation.

I would also like direction as to wearing shorts in Aphrodite,for dinner, with a nice collard Caribbean shirt.

I'd like to know also. At the end of the day, I am on vacation, and would like to be comfortable. I wouldn't attend dinner looking like I just rolled out of bed or anything. Everybody's style is different. Coming from NYC and this cold weather, I'm looking forward to some summer attire. I'll bring the slacks, if that's what they're asking. If I see for a second I don't need them, honestly, they probably wont even get unpacked! Hopefully some one that has been there recently can weigh in on this.

We were there in February and they were turning people away from Pearl due to the long pants requirement. Shorts were ok in Aphrodite.
