Very poor review of Pearl on Trip Advisor

No boobs cruise from either Desire location, the only boobs cruise runs out of the Cancun Hotel Zone(50 miles north of the Desire properties) and goes between the Temptation docks and Isla Mujeres(it doesn't get anywhere near the reef)

That would be the standard "booze cruise" cruise(no nudity that is sold to "vanillas" - unless you can get a large enough group together from the resort when you are there) it runs out of the Cancun Hotel Zone(50 miles north of the Desire properties) and goes between the Temptation docks and Isla Mujeres(it doesn't get anywhere near the reef). It is different than the "boobs cruise" I linked earlier.

The only thing the current dock at Pearl is used for right now is the dive/snorkel boat, I don't know actual costs, I believe they have different options depending on what you want to pay and your skill level.

Just read this posting and all I can say is that I hope that they keep going to Hedo instead of Desire. In all our trips to Desire we have never be unhappy with the food served at any meal even when we ordered room service and never felt the need to order from a special menu then again we are not food snobs.
Believe that this guy should read up on what AI means at different resorts as CokeMann has pointed out every AI resort has additional charge for things that aren't used by the general visitor. As to his dislike to see nude people around the pool and at the entrance to the snack are makes us wonder why they booked Desire in the first place and also makes us wonder where they stayed while at Hedo (nude or prude)
As I learned working as a customer service agent for the airlines you can't please some people at anytime no matter what you do. Guess this guy is one of them and just likes to complain about almost everything.
As for us we are trying to work in a trip to Desire before our planed trip in Oct. We just can't wait to get back to Desire.

we read this review and kinda got freaked out at first. We had just booked everything the day before reading it. We are new to this so you can imagine what was going through our heads. But after reading it closely we relaxed and just figured someone that writes a review like that probably can't ever be pleased. Sure helps reading all the positive comments in here. No place is perfect, however when you are reading reviews the best advice I've ever seen is to match up, 1 to 1 each of the worst and best reviews and when you've done that throw those pairs out - the reviews you are left with are probably an accurate idea of what the place/product/service is really like

His comments on Scuba cost is not accurate. I have used the facilities at The Pearl on both visits and the cost for a two tank dive, guide, boat ride, Park fees and all equipment was $125. I dive all over the world and find these fees in line with most other places. My experience with "all inclusive" scuba diving is some do but most don't and those that do usually are not any where as good as Pearl.

We just got back from our second visit and can't wait until our next visit .

Went to Trip advisor and read his review then read the other two reviews that he had posted; one for Hedo II where he has said that they had visited several times I the past and all he had to say about Hedo II was when were the new owners going to upgrade the property. One for a Mexican trip was so-so then the one for Pearl where he let lose with both barrels So it seems like he is the type to gripe about anything and everything. It just to bad that first time Desire visitors read his review and believe him, we can only hope that they keep reading more Desire reviews at Trip advisor to get the full story.

Any reasonable person would not base their decision off of one review on TA. If they *did* get swayed by this review, it played to their preconceived notions and you wouldn't want them to be partying with you at Desire anyway. It's a self-correcting problem.
