I was contrasting the disco wear with your being completely naked. A disco outfit, no matter how small, is *less* revealing than being naked. I knew what you meant, I was just being snarky.

Just got back from Pearl. The first two days were very unusual, only about 20% of women and 50% of men were totally naked. And many women with tops on as well. By the end of the week it was about 70% of women and 80% of men totally naked, which is similar to previous trips.

I think for us clothing became something to wear to meals. And even then we were some of the people getting naked lunch from the poolside grill on certain days.

Wife and I are here now. Got here Friday. Pretty much everyone is naked or close to naked durning the day. At night.... You would be lucky to spot clothes. My wife is maybe one of two women with her top on durning the day

The only time we dress is for Dinner and the first hour of Nightclub. We are naked the rest of the time.

We only wrap a towel for breakfast and lunch. And after an hour in the nightclub we strip cause it is so hot and then we dance naked the rest of the time.

We are also naked the majority of the time but we were amazed at how many now are wearing clothes. Big difference in just a year since our last trip.

When we were there in October, almost everyone was naked by the pool and hot tub. What I didn't see, was any people getting naked in the disco and not as slutty outfits as I would have thought. I was probably the most revealing/slutty dresser every night, both at dinner and disco. To each their own...but I plan to be naked as much as possible and will continue to dress in as little as possible for the evenings in outfits I won't get the opportunity to wear anywhere else!

We are currently at Pearl, and almost everyone is naked around the pool, jacuzzi and on the beach. Obviously there are a few exceptions but they are few and far between, but it is a clothing optional resort.

I'm bewildered why people would spend twice as much to go to Desire when they could go anywhere in the Caribbean and several places in the US where the woman can be topless and both wear bottoms. I get it if women wear bottoms during that time of the month or if it's your first time and want to take a day or so to ease into the total nude thing but I have seen several guys never take their trunks off the whole week. It kinda creepy to me if one or both keep their clothes on while we are all nude for more than a day or two. What I have never seen is once someone goes totally nude, go back to wearing clothes when they don't have to so my advise is to take the plung and never look back.

Well, personal tastes and comfort levels come into mind here.

Personally, I don't really feel the need to walk around with my trunks off. While the women are sexy topless, naked, or in between, I could care less if I see another guys package flopping around as he runs around. Now, that's not saying I wont take my trunks off at the pool or to get some sun, I just don't feel the need to walk around totally naked.

My wife on the other hand, she is very self-conscious about her body and her figure and hasn't made it to the comfort level yet to go topless, or nude around others. Yes, people don't care, they don't judge, but this is all her own thing, whatever makes her feel comfortable is fine with me. We went to Desire RM some years ago and she was a bit overweight so there was no way she was taking anything off. Now, years later, and many lbs lighter, and a bit more confident, I could see her going topless this year. I really, really doubt her bottoms will come off but we will see.

I see the extra paid for a resort like this as a fee to sort of experience the sexy environment, not just a license to get naked. To each his or her own though, I have love for everyone.

To the Smithviillecouple , I am probably get stomped on for this post, as being seen as not being the typical 'no one cares what anyone wears or not' Desire visitor, however, I believe there are more who go to Desire to 'be a part of the sexual experience' you mentioned in your last paragraph below, than to watch it with clothes on.

If everyone took the same choice to stay clothed and go to enjoy everyone else who they hope are naked and part of the sexy experience and they found that everyone else had their clothes on and were not doing anything sexual, tell us how sexy that would be for you. At the price or pleasure of others, you are getting what you come for without (giving) being a part of the experience.

Personally, I couldn't care if people are clothed, but it is a turn off when up to 30% sometimes are. I have to question why they simply go to a nude breach to see others nude while they stay clothed. I know, its a CO resort, but with the themes and playrooms and activities, it really is more than CO resort. I am going to hear that 'the misses is almost ready, maybe this time, everyone is at their own pace'. How about the people who go to Desire to create the sexy atmosphere and find a bunch of want to be's, maybe's and gawkers that cool the atmosphere. I suggest a 'nude only resort' or a nude beach until they are comfortable being nude and part of the experience, instead of riding in without paying the clothes off price. Like wanting to play baseball, but don't want to catch the ball, just watch from the out field. Sorry for being not politically correct on this, but it is my opinion and likely share it with most who go to Desire.

Well, I'm not going to stomp on you but I certainly don't see things the same way as you.

But everyone is not choosing to stay clothed. Why extrapolate to something that isn't going to happen? Even at 30% (which I find a little high from my experience), I don't think Desire is in danger of going vanilla.

I really don't think people are going to Desire in order to see people naked while keeping their clothes on and not "paying the price". They are going to Desire to experience a sexy environment. As you note with your suggestion of just going to a nude beach, nakedness isn't necessarily sexy. It *can* be but so can a lot of other things. I personally think it's arguably *more* sexy when my wife wears a sheer-when-wet bottom over just going bottomless. Seeing her hop up on the the bar and pull it aside with a sly "want to do a shot?", is smoking hot (IMHO). Yeah, if I just want to see bottomless women, I'd go to a nudist resort. I don't. I want to see women being sexy (slutty?) and who like to it dress things up in strings and outfits that say "look at this. Want some?"

By your argument, we should ditch the themes and just go naked in the disco too. The skimpy outfits and and kinky clothes couldn't be sexier than being fully naked could they? I'll answer that for you - yes, they can.

So, please don't get hung up on the percentage of people who are naked. They are not cheating and deriving pleasure from your nakedness that they somehow should have paid for. As you note, they are testing the waters, getting comfortable, etc. Why should that have any bearing on your enjoyment of the place?
