I think most have covered this one, but just a quick note that when I go to Mexico I just call Verizon and have them add International for Mexico. (Note: You have to call and cancel the feature when you return). For $15, I get 100min talk, 100 Send Text, unlimited received text, and 100MB of data usage. Provides me a safety net if needed and is typically enough for me as I try to keep work and social contacts to a minimum so I can focus on my fun at Desire. I still follow the practices mentioned about by D&J (use resort Wifi, Turn Data off, Use face time, ect.) I only turn Data back On if going off resort (out of WIFI access). Hope this helps a bit.

the only thing is that when I called today, the recommended to NOT cancel until the plan has been active for a full month. reason being, say you cancel after a week and you have the 100/100/100 plan... if you use the full 100 of anything, but you cancel within a week, your allowable time will also be prorated. so u would basically have an allowance of 25/25/25, and if u go over, then u would get banged out for additional overages. that's how they explained it to me today, so they said they would cancel it at the end of the 30 day period.

When we were at Pearl last September, I added Mexico to my ATT account and could not get Facetime video to work, only audio. Which was very disappointing as I wanted to see my kids. Any ideas on why? I tried several times. Thanks
