December trip - weather??

We are looking to head to Desire Pearl the second week of December. We are worried that time of year it will be too chilly in the evenings to have much fun out by the jacuzzi or other outdoor "activities". Can anyone who has been that time of year tell us what to expect weather wise (generally, we know it varies) during the day and evenings? I am pretty sure that is past peak hurricane season and the rainy weather. Are the nights chilly making more people keep clothed. Does the nighttime activity switch more inside to play rooms (we prefer casual hot tub PDAs rather than inside all out orgies ) Should we move our dates to January or later? We excluded mid-November due to concerns about rain during the hurricane season. Thanks in advance!

Good questions. The weather will be good. 70s F. in the evenings and up to the 80's during the day. We researched as we will be at Desire RM in Dec. for our first time. Others can weigh in on weather and other options but pretty sure there will be play options, including snuggling up to some new friends. Twosomes, foursomes and moresomes will generate the "heat" you are looking for, including us

Cross over to the "darkside" at RM Desire from Pearl ... We won't bite but only if you ask us too lol ... Have fun during your trip!

You might see some lows in the 60's. We have been there in early Feb. and it can get chilly at night. I definately would not go into Jan. The hot tub will feel real good at night. Day time temps. Will be in the 80's. Don't worry be happy. Any day at Desire is better than being at home.

We have been several times to the Caribbean in December including Tulum and have been to Desire (Pearl) in January and late February. December is typically warmer than January, February and early March in the Cancun area. The reason hurricane season ends Dec. 1st is because the ocean is starting to cool down. As you move into Jan/Feb/Mar the weather and water continue to cool, then in April the warm up begins.
We will be at Pearl in early Dec. and look forward to comfortable weather. Yes, the pool is cooler than in the Spring/Summer/Fall but even in Jan and Feb., I was able enjoy the foam party and wear my scant evening attire with ease. We had no trouble romping on the Jacuzzi beds in either Jan or Feb. This last February, there were two nights when I put a sarong over my shoulders to walk to the Disco and then just used it to sit on since my dresses (if I wear that much!) are typically very short and I hate undies. We took a four-hour yacht cruise to Isla Mujeres in January with swimming and naked fun and it was very comfortable.
The Playroom gets more action in the winter months and this is a GOOD thing. The hot tub at Pearl is hot in more ways than one, and the Jacuzzi beds are very convenient to the hot tub, making the transition easy, (and I find comfortable). Sex on the Jacuzzi beds in the afternoon in December should be absolutely wonderful. Just ask us to more over if it gets crowded.
We live in Arizona so we are heat lovers. I too, dislike cold weather and don't spend as much time in the swimming pool in the winter months as the rest of the year. But, walking the beach, walking trips to Puerto Morelos (easy from Pearl), catamaran/snorkeling trips (that leave from the Pearl dock), hanging out on the beach and dock (dock at Pearl only) are much more comfortable in winter months. You don't have to worry about sweating to death. And when you add the hot people that vacation at Desire, you have the makings for a very good time.
Don't stress. Every season has its advantages. I keep my bags packed and never turn down a chance to be at Desire where it is always, hot, hot, hot. Hubby and I would love to welcome you in December. PM us if you want more details. A & D

Funny, we live in the Northeast and go in January, the coldest month statistically in the Cancun area. And we love it. No hurricane risk, not much seaweed, very little rain, and the temperatures are perfect. Low 80's during the day, and low 70's at night. Now, we are leaving weather in the teens and 20's, so our reference point is skewed, but we love the mid winter getaway.

So in our opinion...December weather should not be an issue.

Great we will be at Desire RM in Dec. and December average temps look fine. It will be nice to escape the heat and humidity of Florida's summer times lol ...

Me and my other half are considering a December visit to DRM. I read all the responses in this thread and it looks like the weather shouldn't be too bad. Any other opinions out there? Anyone think it's too cold in December?

It seems they are heating at least half of the pool at desire pearl which will be ready before December. We are so excited!

SC cpl, we are in the same boat as you. We are soooo excited about the heated pool. We wouldn't even consider RM now in December. Might try RM in June.

We were at Pearl for the first two weeks of last December and the weather was lovely. There was one day when it was chilly being out on the water (unfortunately this was the day when we went on the yacht cruise from Temptations) but other than that it was very nice. Hot and sunny during the day and a bit cooler at night. The kind of 'cooler' that made wearing long pants or a long sleeved shirt to dinner bearable. The only problem was that the pool was very cold. Now that Pearl is working on getting the active side of the pool heated I think December will be a great time to be there. So great, in fact, that we are going back for the first two weeks of December this year!
