I'm on a roll here with two post in one day. This will be short and sweet (the post that is ). Being a newbie to CO and one who, um to put in my wife's terms can be aroused by a stiff breeze, is concerned by all that I will see and it's effect. I might be in my mid fifties but I feel/act like a 20 year old thanks to my beautiful wife. Does this happen at DP? Is it the norm, occasionally happen or will I be looked at awkwardly? Can't hide emotions (you ladies have it made in this respect, maybe thinking about baseball would help? The only good thing the Mariners will do). Who knows, may not be an issue but thought I would just throw it out there as I have not found this on a previous post and is about the only thing I am concerned/nervous about. Some reassuring thoughts would be most helpful

My thoughts: First, the awkwardness of a stiffie depends on the context. I think it boils down to - If you are using it in some way, it's fine. If it's up for no apparent reason, it gives off a bit of a pervy vibe. Let me explain.

If you have wood while you are walking around the pool or standing in the line at the outdoor grill, you might get some strange looks. I don't think anyone would actually say anything - they may even high five you - but I think it might be a bit "odd".

However, if you were on a lounger at the pool and you wife was re-applying sunscreen to keep you from getting burned, or if you get out of the hot tub to go pee right after your wife was grinding up on you as you chat with another couple, you're fine. Certainly, if you are on a jacuzzi bed it's expected. Bottom line, as long as it couldn't be construed as pervy, you are fine.

Having said all that, frankly I don't think you are going to have the problem. It seems weird to say it, and no disrespect to the ladies, but you quickly get desensitized to all the naked women walking around. It's surprising how quickly it all just becomes normal. So *usually*, unless you are getting actively stimulated in some manner - involving touching or not - you aren't going to be getting erect. If you are getting stimulated, well that's the whole point right? It's not like people are denying why we are all there.

If it *does* become a problem for you though, there's an easy solution. Just drag your wife over to the hot tub and have her (or some other lady (or guy - no judgement here (but that's a different thread)) ) take care of it for you. Problem solved!

Don't think it will be a problem, in fact at the begining am anticipating a little "Stage fright" but do think I will get used to it quickly. Around my wife is my main concern. Consider it opening night jitters and not knowing what to expect, had to throw this one out there. Just looking for some input on this from people who have been there, done that or not done that. I know why we are going there and being aroused will definitely happen just concerned on timing is all. How do you know unless you ask?? I can assure you it wont be a problem. The only time I got aroused without knowing PDS was imminent was when I was by the jacuzzi while two georgous women were enjoying each other at the bar in the jacuzzi. It couldnt have been better timing for setting the stage for an impromptu BJ from the Mrs. The other poster is dead on. Though it is hard to believe that you quickly become desensitized to the sight of the naked beautiful women all around you, you really do. Just don't pop a wood on the beach. You might really scare the clothed walkers that frequently pass by. As far as everywhere else, it most likely is not a problem to get a hard on; unless you are stroking it and banging it into someone's face (that is only acceptable if they requested that).

I would have to agree with others who have posted replies to your concern. Day 1 and the initial unclothing may produce a "excitement" boner from the new experience and wonderful naked bodies. That will die down quickly and you will become more use to the environment. My two trips this year I never once saw a man sporting wood just standing by the pool or walking around. You will find you quickly get more focused on meeting great people and having conversations.

The jacuzzi will produce some excitement, simply stay under the water a little longer or rock it like a champ and take it to the bed! To this day, regardless of the location if I see my wife in a sexy outfit or completely naked it is "hard" to control. That said, at Desire once you get into conversations and socialize a bit, it will quickly adapt to the situation.
