Need answers to these questions!

1. Are there enough beach beds when there is big capacity at Pearl Resort?

2. Does the Pearl disco still empty out early?

3. Is there still a huge mosquito issue at Pearl?

P.S. We have stayed at Pearl twice and visited many times since Pearl began.These are the only con issues we encountered in the past, otherwise we love Pearl Resort for all the positive factors!

We just returned from a 9 night trip and the resort was almost at capacity, so here goes:

1. We saw many beach beds available all week. Shouldn't be an issue.....but you may want to tell the pool/beach guys you want one.
2. Depends on the crowd but we danced for hours after the show most nights. Some leave early and make a beeline right to the jacuzzi.
3. Not a single bite all week....hmmm, I will rephrase that by saying no bug bites all week.

Not sure if the windy conditions helped with the bugs or not but seriously not one bug bite. Hope that helps.

Aren't the beach beds only for 'gold members'....or whatever they are called?

There are some reserved for penthouse suites but they can be given up if someone is requesting and the penthouse guests aren't using them. As I posted earlier, always best to ask the beach bed attendant. They are really helpful!

Aren't the beach beds only for 'gold members'....or whatever they are called?

When we were there it was possible to get a bed, just asked the staff to save one for us, tipped him of course. The members do get reserved beds but there were plenty more for everyone else.

Same answer, there will be some loungers reserved for members but there are plenty of loungers for everyone. If you have a preference, see one of the pool attendants and let him know what you want. My advice is talk to him on the first day and ask him to "hook you up " for the reminder of your stay. They do work hard and I certainly reward them accordingly.

Thanks. Nice to hear that its not like some of the places that we have been to where you need to be up by 4 am(or not have gone to sleep:)) to reserve your chairs.

We are members (just saying it to be factual, it is really no big deal) and we can assure everyone that when Pearl is at or near capacity they generally ask the members to give a preference. If you are also in a Penthouse the numbered beds which are linked to the suites themselves are more often held, but you can turn those over to the general guests or specific friends at any time. They do a good job with availability. I am sure if we pitched a bitch they would hold both for us all the time but we tend to take one and let someone else have the other. It isn't like our bare asses are going to be on both at the same time. I'm not the Flash. Well....I guess at Pearl we're ALL the Flash!
