New "lobby lounge" area

Regarding Valentina's post in the Desire management section about the premier beach beds being moved near the lobby bar to create a lounge area there: Is there anyone who has just returned who could shed a little more light ? Are these covered beds ? Up on poles or setting very close to the ground ? Are they in the concrete area around the statues to the south or the bar, or to the north and east in the grassy areas between walks ?

Mike, if you go check out the current live report thread at Denny's, he's mentioned it.....and there is a pic in their photo album, but my coffee hasn't kicked in yet so I can't exactly place them in relation to the bar.... although on first glance I'd say between the bar and the 1700 & 1800 buildings.....

Thanks- I had seen the post but not the picture. Looks like 4 side by side beds (if I'm looking at the correct picture) and yes I think you must be right about the location. Must be just a few feet north of the lobby bar.
It will be great to have some "entertainment" besides the TV while setting at the bar won't it ?

Oh ye- there and a couple other places too although I can't remember exactly where all I saw them in May.

We were at Desire last week. The new beds are between the bar and bldgs 17/18.

There are TVs in the lobby bar and the bar/dinig area at the pool. The sound is off and I think they are permanently on the soccer channel.

There is also a gazebo/stage for the bands etc off the lobby area.

We don't see why they keep making "special " places around the resort. How many "special" people really want to be segregated from the majority(us common folk)? Next will they have sections for the "attractive" ones? Hairy ones? Shaved? If so, then we need to have a section for FS swingers, another for soft swingers, another bi-swingers, can't forget the true naturist section.....Where does it end? It should end at Desire.
We do like the idea of the beds being put there, but to be used or not used by only a small handful of preferred guests is ridiculous. I imgaine that if they are empty, people will use them. Good luck enforcing this one.

My impression wasn't that these beds are only for premier members- only that they used those beds to make this new area. I'm thinking these are for anyone's use, but I'm checking to verify that.

Yeah I realized that after re-reading the post. I kind of got caught up in the premier rant after reading another post about the pool lounges. It seems that has been sorted out. Not that it really matters to us. We wouldn't not go for something as trivial as that but the segregation thing if it were to get out of hand, would be a real turnoff because it is the people that make the place so great. Chair/bed issues wouldn't keep us away.

It does seem that the pool chair situation is resolved-at least the people who have returned recently didn't seem to have a problem.
Valentina did confirm that there new lobby area beds are for anyone to use. She promised a picture Friday for us to post here.
