bummer... we were hoping to not check a bag

On the TSA blog, I just found that they said they are permitted:

They took ours that were part of a my Halloween 2015 outfit upon us returning to US via Mexico TSA officials along with a whip we had. Went through no problems in carry on going to Cancun was just an issue upon leaving Cancun. They wouldn't even allow us to break the whip so I'm sure someone had some fun that night

My wife always packs the sex toys in my suitcase and when the customs guys looks at the X-ray machine, then at me, they know I'm a weirdo and never seem to have an issue If they do, insist on bringing it out and turning it on !

Don't worry about it...

Just don't leave your "fun bag" in the backseat of the rental car. It embarrasses the rental agent who has to bring it to you at the airport.

We have never had any problems with moving our toys through customs. If fact, during our last visit to Pearl in June, a friend of ours brought the famed Sybian for lots of fun use at the resort. It was fabulous and we only hope that he brings it again next June for the ladies to use!

Just a followup... we only brought carry-ons, and nothing got flagged for inspection, much less removal, entering MX or the USA.
The bag included metal handcuffs, a vibrator, and some high heels that clearly could be weaponized.

While working as a airline gate agent at the airport I was getting to close the aircraft door for departure when the baggage loader came up with a bag and asked us to call a person to the plane door. The man came up and the loader told him to open up the bag as it was buzzing and vibrating. He opened the bag and two of the biggest vibrators that I have ever seen was vibrating like mad. With a very red face he turned them off and removed the batteries. Just be sure that any toys have the batteries removed and it shouldn't be any problem. The guy went back to his seat looking down and a very, very red face as every one on the flight was looking at him wondering what was going on. Of course the F/A made sure that the rest of the crew knew about it. Over a year later I had that F/A ask me if we had any more vibrating bags.

What about solid metal toys like this.







The wand itself is a pound and a half. Would it be best to pack this in the suitcase, not in my carry on? Even so wouldn't they be suspicious of a sorta (in a TSA kind of way) gun shaped metal object even if it was in a suitcase?

Good friend of ours was on a business reward vacation with many others from the stuffy financial company that her husband works for. Many are in line at customs and they are checking every bag, she is getting nervous knowing what she packed. So right before her bag goes up for inspection she announces to everyone that there is a flowered bag inside her bag and it is full of sex toys, just thought everyone should know now so you are not shocked when they bring them out she announces. Well turns out they didn't check her bag.

Coming back from Desire on our last trip, they looked at our carry on bag. It had a couple of sex toys and a really nice flogger. It when through Xray, they pulled our bag and took the flogger out and said we could not take it on board so they confiscated it. My wife was furious and started to argue. I told her that that may not be the best idea since we are in a foreign country. It is a topic that still pisses her off to this day.

That's my concern with the wand. I'd hate for it to get confiscated, it wasn't exactly cheap. I'm hoping there's little chance of that if it's in my suitcase and not in my carry on.

Tell them you are going to Desire and they will go .. "ok okay". We had a fake gun and holster for hubby for western night and our baggage got tagged. It was packed along with the double dong and vibrator. So when the customs agent asked where we were staying we replied Desire and all was explained!
