We did our photo shoot yesterday, and picked out the photos today. Jahel is absolutely wonderful to work with and her work is very impressive. We picked out our photos this morning and are bringing them home with us tomorrow.

We just returned from Pearl last Friday. What I wanted to say is last week we met a couple that brought their book to Pearl with them to share. It's hard to have such a beautiful book and not have anyone to show it to! What a great idea to bring your book with you when you return to Pearl so you can share it with new friends.

We were fortunate enough that they loaded all the photos directly on the phone and the slideshow on the phone

Just came back from our first trip to DP and we have lots to say for our trip report...but want to get THIS info out there right now!

PEOPLE: schedule the erotic photo session!! The session is FREE and there are many $$$ packages to choose from, but also keep in mind that each a-la-cart digital image is only $18.

Sign up as SOON as you check in and be sure to give yourself enough time to review them afterwards. You will probably have to ASK when you check in...they are focused on telling you about the other hotel amenities and left this out. Schedule it for at least a day after you get there so you can be sure to be comfortable being nude! (very true for us since we were complete newbies to anything like this). It will take 1 to 3 hours, depending on what you want.

The photo shoot itself is FREE! Of course there is an expectation that you WILL buy some (and they will be good so you will want to!), but if you don’t take the photos you will never know.

Our session was booked with Jahel and she was amazing. REMEMBER, each a-la-cart digital image is ONLY $18. She provides them on a CD/DVD. We ended up buying 6 photos (only $108!)

Some critical info: she will “guide” you to have actual sex and will take some seriously CLOSE photos. You have to choose what you are comfortable with and she very easily goes in whichever direction you want. We cut the “sex” part short and wanted photos on the beach instead. She was kind and amenable to anything we said, and while yes, you WILL feel awkward, it’s not because of her. It’s just a weird position to be in. She typically shoots photos in your room, the beach and the disco.

We didn’t plan on doing the photo shoot so didn’t have “outfits” per se...but we managed to make it work.

We would definitely do it again and would think a little more about what we wanted. We were too driven by what she typically does because we had no idea, so we expect to spend MORE money next time when we can drive the scenario a little more, ha ha!

We agree completely! Jahel was so comfortable to work with! This is something we never expected to do but it ended up being a great experience and we have some fun photos (A canvas hangs in our bedroom) to remind us of a great trip.

Absolutely - we set up everything months in advance - just email the resort and they'll connect you. We did our shoot the morning after we arrived and got everything back while we were still there which was awesome.

Is there anyway to set up the shoot before you arrive? We are only going to be there for 4 days and wanted to do it day 2 to make sure we had enough time to look them over and decide what we want. I assume the afternoon is very popular and would book up quick ddue to the recoup time for jet lag and then staying up all night parting!

We just had dinner with new friends who were excited about their first upcoming Desire trip.
Slideshow of photo shoot set the tone for then and excited us to show wife off. We spent about 3 hrs Jahels choice shooting beach, pier, disco, outside the Restaurant, and room. We didn't xxx but she explained a lot of different options n shots she has taken and how everyone gets in crazy positions to shoot an angle.

She is kind sweet friendly woman. If you go make sure her boss knows how much you enjoyed her. He has a gem. 2 take cash! At least for photo shoot $300-500. You can bring it home if you don't spend but to take cash out at ATM it's 20%.

But we can't help but ask whether anyone has asked another guest or couple willing to take photos for us in our room, with our own camera, while we pose and have sex. This way, we have total ownership of our photos. Anyone know whether this has been done at Desire?

Not much to add....Jahel was amazing. We ended up buying 10 pics....but could easily have ended up with a few more. We wished the first package was a little lower cost. Maybe something that would have encouraged 15-20 pics to be purchased. But that wasn't a big deal. We just didn't want to spend $500+ and were happy to get the 10 best. We also tipped immediately after the shoot in part so we wouldn't feel obligated to buy more pics than we wanted. In part because Jahel was so wonderful. Do the photo shoot!

It can be done and we have done that for other couples on swinger cruises. My wife and I work together to compose the shots as well as the setting. We bring sample poses so the couple can see what kind of shots can be done and we can get an idea of what they like. We have done about a dozen shoots. We know two couples that took some, had them enlarged, printed and framed for their bedroom. They thought it was one of the more erotic things they have done together.

Now, why do this verses having the Desire photographer? I don't post process the shots - they are raw right out of the camera. I am sure the Desire pros do some post processing. Which brings up the next point. These photographers are pros. I just like photography but do not do it for a living (although I do have a publisher for licensing certain images I take).

It will be fun either way you go and we plan on doing some of our own shoots while there in a couple of weeks but also plan to book a session with the Desire desk.
