After pool bar closes....

Recent guests, is the pool now open late? In other words after dark. Stayed late in the pool at Pearl last July and it was one of the best nights we had, yes no bar service, but a boombox and a tray of drinks was all we needed. Was wondering if RM is kicking everyone out at whatever time, I think it was 6 or 7 when the bar closes and then everyone to the hot tub. At Pearl the hot tub got busy after dark, not when the pool bar closed. Any ways, if anyone has been recently and stayed in after the bar closed and had no issues, please share your story, thanx a bunch!

At Pearl, last year, a couple of our female friends were in the pool after 9:00 pm. Their husbands were poolside watching their wives have fun with each other. I think this type of later evening dip and play in the pool is not uncommon.

It the summer months after dancing in the disco and the temp in the 80s and humidity at 100% the pool feel lots better then the 100 degree hot tub, very common.

Well thank you, they'll be in the pool after dark getting Baileys Irish Cream poured over them! and she's right Mexico in July and August are way humid, sometimes just cant do the hot tub, but remember always getting kicked out of the main pool when it got dark. Have to break some rules this trip.

We were at DRM in September, and the policy at the pool had changed. Quite a group hung out in the pool very late at night, with no one asking us to leave. I suppose that policy will continue until people start bringing boom boxes, and being overtly loud to the point of being a nuisance. Then most likely it will go back. I say this because it was wonderful to cool down in the pool with great company after hours, but the group we were with kept it quiet and mellow. I'd hate to see that change back

The pool at DRM is now open 24 hours a day.

Use of the pool at night at either Desire resort is probably somewhat seasonal. We've been during the last week in January a few times and a lot of evenings were really cool. No way anyone felt like going in. In fact the happy hour in the hottub often started earlier than usual on the cooler, windier days which are not uncommon in January and February.
