Catamaran Questions

We have the catamaran booked for Tuesday the 28th. I have a couple questions for anyone who's ever done it.

1. They say the capacity is 7 couples. Is it comfortable if you have this many people on board?
2. Is there a sound system and if so, can it accept input from a mobile device via bluetooth or aux cable?
3. What is the food and drink selection like? They say lunch and drinks are included.
4. Are the waters in that area generally calm or rough?
5. I have to assume, but will ask anyway... anything goes right?

Any other advice or feedback is appreciated. I'm coordinating this for our group and don't want to look dumb if it's not what we expected!

We did the catamaran in Nov. with some friends. There were 5 couples and there was more than enough room. I would think 7 couples would be fine. It was very windy the day we went out and the water was rough. We weren't able to go to far from the resort or snorkel as the waves were just to big. We had taken dramamine before going out but there was a couple puking the whole time we were out. They served ceviche and chips and it was fresh and really good but that was it for food so if you aren't into that you may want to bring something on board. They had just about anything you wanted to drink. (Water, pop, vodka,tequila) If you have a specific brand you prefer I would plan to bring that as well. They did provide towels to sit on and use. They did have a sound system and played music the whole time. Not sure if they have an input or Bluetooth available. Most people got naked after drinks started flowing and body shots were done and chocolate syrup was brought out by the crew and liked off. We were on board with people we didn't know. It got a little wild but if everyone knows each other I would assume anything is game.

The crew was great and will do anything you ask of them. I had asked my husband to get our sunscreen from our bag. He got it and gave it to a crew member and asked him to apply it to my chest for me. He was more than happy to oblige. They will help get the party rolling if they know that's what everyone wants. They did anchor the boat for a while so people could jump in and swim for a while since we weren't able to snorkel.

Last time we went out on the catamaran, they had two...a small one (that they tried to put us on) and one of the REALLY BIG ONES like most of the other ones we saw on the water. We only had 7 couples on it and the other ones seemed to be stacked and packed with people (easily 50+). Which one are they using now, big or small?

During a takeover (and before the resort started offering the service through the resort), our group chartered a catamaran from the docks in Cancun and had to leave from and return there. We thought it was going to be just ours but they let several other adult couples on (it was advertised a topless party cruise). As soon as we got away from the docks and stripped off and started partying, all but one of the other couples joined right in. They sailed us around the bay and over to Isla Mujeres for lunch on the beach (in swimsuits there of course) and we had a couple of hours to wander around the island and find some cool little bars and shops. It was a pretty long day when all was said and done so, if you go that route, know what you are getting into timewise.

The wife and l would love to take this excursion! How does one make reservations for the cruise?

yeah, we have thought about this too. It seems fun. But if waters are rough it may be a mood killer. We would be interested in a trip with just couples from Desire though
