For the love of pleasure...bring back Couples Workshops :)

Hi to all you lovely Pearlies,

In a seperate Topic stream there was a discussion about wanting Pearl to bring back the Couples Workshops. As we all know, we go there to learn...

In the Topic stream "Couple Workshops...a shoutout to bring them back to Pearl"...quite a few of us voiced support. A person also noted that they had sent Pearl an email asking for the Couples Workshops...that's a great idea.

Desire RM holds 3 workshops a week and they are quite enjoyable!!

ps...We've copied in here our post we wrote soon after arriving at Pearl from RM about 10 days ago...

We just picked up the weekly activities program here at Pearl and didn't see any Couples Workshops. So we checked with a Butler and he said that they don't hold them at Pearl anymore. We're really disappointed! Pearl will likely be great fun...but RM holds the Workshops!!

It's been a bit over two years since we've been to Pearl and the last 2 times we were here their were 3 Workshops per week and we loved them. Last week we were at RM and they had 3 Couple Workshops so we had just assumed Pearl held them too.

Over the last 2 years or so we've enjoyed several workshops twice a year at RM on sensual full body massages, oral sex, massages of each of our "good parts", squirting, yoni & lingham...I know I'm forgetting some. They are enjoyable!

We sure hope they bring these back to Pearl!! "Lifelong learning" of new ways to pleasure each other is one of the wonderful benefits we love about Desire!!

We did the couples workshop twice at RM and LOVED them. Would be great if Pearl started them back up. We're headed back to DP on May 24th.

we would LOVE a workshop! even 1 day a week, just something....they had a workshop at Pearl on our last trip however it got canceled a few days before we arrived. everything we hear about them is excellent and we would love to be able to try one when we arrive in Oct! come on DP get us some workshops!!!!

If enough upcoming guests email the resort maybe Pearl's weekly schedule could improve.

It's completely understandable that the schedules and events are different but it seems that Pearl could really use some variety in their schedule as of late and some of the creativity and excitement of RM's events.

A fantastic improvement at Pearl would be to exchange some of the overly frequent volleyball games for workshops and/or any of the more interesting events scheduled at RM that really better align with the atmosphere of these resorts.

Please email the resort and perhaps we could bring back an improved weekly schedule at Pearl!

So very much agree...we were at RM 2/4-2/11 and then Pearl 2/11-2/18. Nice occupancy levels at both so that was great. Big difference was the lack of Workshops at Pearl and 3 of them at RM, with 2 of them being really good and the other one nice too. Yup...cancel some of the late afternoon games and slip in some Workshops.

Interestingly...RM staffed with 3 Playmakers and Pearl with 4...even though RM has more rooms. Suggestion...shift some money by staffing with 3 at Pearl and hire the workshop people.

Continuing to learn in life...oh ya, focused on sex even better!

Let's see... where to begin.

It isn't that Pearl doesn't want to hold couples workshops- because they do- but more an issue of who is going to do it. A few years ago Liz did a very popular weekly workshop and it gets mentioned on this board quite often still. Liz, of course, left the resort and is currently working in the Bahamas. Since the workshops are done by a woman the problem is finding someone capable and at least part of that is being sufficiently fluent in English.

There have been a few English speaking EC's recently at Pearl (Angie, Bee, and Nessy for example) but for one reason or another they weren't comfortable or qualified. Kia speaks very little English and almost all of the more recent hires have come from Columbia (Bella, Sebastion, Juliana, Edu, and I believe Mia). Bella was actually training to take over the class just before she and Marco left and after that the focus shifted over to Kayla. The problem is that with Marco gone that only leaves two people capable of being on the mic- Kayla and Charlie- so Kayla is already very busy.

Why are there more EC's (Playmakers) at Pearl than RM when the resort has fewer rooms? Because they are needed to fill out the games and activities. In other words they require more entertainment staff because there are fewer guests. Ideally Pearl has 6 entertainment staff (3 male, 3 female) but it is difficult to stay at that number because most of the staff are in on temporary work visas and usually are gone after six months.

The other option is to bring In outside people like Dr. Jess but even that has its challenges because they have lives and work outside of the resorts and may or may not have a preference about which resort they want to go to and when. The decision is actually made at the corporate level now but it still seems like a worthwhile endeavor to let the resort know that this is something that guests would like more of. Hope this helps a bit.

One of the staff at RM essentially made the same point to me on our first visit. There was one day where the occupancy was low, maybe 30-40% - he told me that on those types of days they make it a point to do even more and that when the resort was full the guests organically took care of things a good bit. I'm still always amazed at how genuinely they all seem to care about giving the guests the best experience possible and the extra effort and enthusiasm they put in is always plain to see.

On the Workshops and who to hold them...I'd start with the thought of typically just using the same people that are working at RM to do their 3 each week. 3 times at RM and 3 times at Pearl. This assumes that they are available...which may not be the case.

We were there in both Dec and Feb and 1 was there both times and the other 2 were different...they were all good.

We love workshops and have been lucky enough to do 3 with Dr Jess at Pearl. We will check them out at RM in April.

Yes for us the afternoon pool entertainment could use a break a couple days a week in the time slot before folks head to te hot tub. Nice to do a workshop/session and then bounce over to the hot tub to practice some more and chat with new friends.

Vanilla...excellent advice...that is just what it's like at RM...they did there workshops at 5pm...go warm up in the hot tub...go shower...go to the workshop...go back to the hot tub OR go take a nap...depending on just how good that Workshop was !!!

It seems they've added a "Sexual Workshop with Lauren and Richard" on Wednesday and Friday for 4:00. Is this the sort of thing that folks have been wanting? Should we make this a priority when we go for the first time in June? Thanks Desirees!
