Non smoker concerns

What is the smoking policy at Desire? Are the rooms smoke free? We are non smokers and are major concern is about the rooms. Wife has allergies and she has problems when staying in a room that someone smoked. I understand there will be people outside smoking, but is it overwhelming? Thanks for any replies.

We have no allergies but I'm very sensitive to smoke. And it has always been a non-issue for us at both properties.

We are non-smokers and have never had issues with any kind of smoke smell in the room. We have had shared balconies and had others smoke on the balcony, so if you are that sensitive, you may want a room without a shared balcony.

We're both very sensitive to smoke and have never noticed any smell at all in any room we've had over our years of attendance.
The patio bar (especially during the shows) is another story. We end up moving around to avoid the stench.
That will obviously depend on the week and attendees.

Noticed smoking of cigarette and cigar around pool area, where smoking is NOT prohibited. Not serious though. Smoking in the jacuzzi area is however prohibited. Not aware of smoking smell inside the rooms.

We are non-smokers and in our 5 trips to DRM we have never had any issues with the rooms. Although smoking in the Jacuzzi area is not permitted, the place where I've seen more smokers is by the Jacuzzi bar.

We are both smokers but on the trying to quit train, wife does suffer from allergies and always takes lysol to spray in room vents for mold, we do only smoke outdoors. and are very courteous to non smokers, we try to seek a smoking area away from others.

Our very first trip to RM, when our butler came to get us to take us to our room, I turned around and walked out because it smelled like cigarette smoke. They put us in another room and it was fine. Our last trip there were two people, husband and wife, continually smoking cigars beside the pool in the member area and the smoke was always drifting to the pool. It was disgusting and annoying.

We had to move to different chairs at Pearl pool. Two people chain smoking just a few chairs away and breeze blowing our way. This was in early feb of this year. As had the occasional cigar. If there is no smoking around the pool then it is not enforced.
